It is when you started with nothing
You gotta be a baptized Hip Hop head to appreciate Nas' music, whereas Jay-Z's music reaches out to everyone. In terms of music I can pop into my iPod - it has to be Jay-Z. You have to set time apart, clear your schedule to listen to a Nas album.
Exactly. I go
Exactly. I go trough phases where I can only listen to Nas for days on end. But, Jay has something for every occasion. If I want to listen to straight lyrical murder, I can listen to Squeeze first. If I want concept tracks, I can listen to 1800 hustla or meet the parents. But at the end of the day, there's this itch that only Nas can scratch.
Nas is a lyrical painter... his attention to detail is so sick... like GZA said, "visual niggas paint portaits."
I've always wonder why those two never did a track together... if they did, let me know because I haven't heard it.
Damn, the only Wu/Nas collabo I can think about is verbal intercourse. I'll look it up
what rapper DIDNT start from nothing?
so hes rich, big deal. that line is something young jeezy would spit. u niggas like it because its jay.
eye for an aye with raekwon... theres probably more that we're just not thinking of...
Cigar Life on Tapatalk 2
rappers like kweli and ras kass from middle class backgrounds
And it's a different level of rich, that's the point. It's that he can say a line on that scale of wealth and it be true
it's not just bullshit braggadocio in this case
I meant like Nas and GZA only... do y'all know if they ever collabed? I used to fiend for that collabo back in the day.
nah never did
at least not anything that was put out
Jay and Nas a very much alike numerous reasons. Big and Pac...that's a totally different thing!
