I love you but I'll never respect your opinion.
Album sales still mean nothing.
wtf do album sales prove, apart from most of the rap-listening population being dumb as fuck?
I am > 98% of albums released since 2000
The beats on 50's new joint are wack too.
Ok i got the Nas album on now:
5- beats boring
6- alright, aint nothing speacial
8- worst beat on the album
11- Ok now this is the worst beat on the album
12- Sounds like some shitty south beat
The other tracks i like.
You say albums sales mean nothing all day like I give a shit about record sales. My favorite rapper other than jay-Z is barely a gold artist, and I dont like 50 cent, the top selling rapper right now.
You should know full well I could give a fuck less how much someone sells, good music is good music.
Talib Kwelis albums combined dont make a gold record and he is another of my favorites.
If you listen to albums for beats alone hiphop's not for you sorry
i dont, but if the beat sucks then i aint gonna listen to the song
are you fucking serious??
Favor For a Favor beat is wack? are you having a fuckin chuckle? this beat is dark as fuck and is one of the illest beats around.
ghetto prisoners is wack? ok WOW
you wont see me tonight beat is ill for a commercial track, id much rather listen to this than the lil jon wackness you listen to.
WOW....fuck it, this is the icing on the cake. 'i want to talk to you' is one of the fuckin sickest beats EVER...i seriously cant describe how ill this beat and how brillianty it fits the subject matter..your opinion is officially fuckin worthless
lets all take a second to listen to nas is like
i wanna talk to u. just down right ill....this cd is amazing.
Yet every time some thing like this comes up you quote sales.
No one else here cares so why bring them up?
Being one of Nas biggest fans, I never understood why this album got soo much hate, but then again when you think about every album Nas drops will be compared to Illmatic, every album. This is not on the level of Illmatic lyrically although he done major growth and had major depth on I Am, but I still think this album is underated by critics as well as fans, if any other MC would have dropped that album people would be all over it. But no it was Nas and gets criticized for every record he releases.
the album is a fuckin classic and will never stop being bumped by real heads.
