    my list go

    1. Rakim
    2. Nas
    3. Ghostface

they all put out 5 mic classic albums, they all had a big influence on the art, original styles, they all was dope MCs, they still sound fresh... after them you got Biggie, Pac, Eminem, Andre 3000, Jay-Z...

but those other niggas y'all mentioned don't make it that high tho... KRS-1 was influential and he had some dope joints, but overall I don't feel a lot of his shit, it sounds dated... same with Grandmaster Flash, Kool Herc, those niggas... Kool G Rap was influential and I still feel that nigga, his style sounds fresh even today, but he never really put out the material to get him top 10 status, he never had a classic 5-mic album you know... Big L and Big Pun were dope but overrated, they ain't up there as the greatest

    ^And that's fine.

But what sounds dated to you might not sound dated to others. Conversely, what sounds dated to others might not sound dated to you.

The Jungle is still dope as fuck to me, but Microphone Fiend sounds corny and dated.

Reasonable Doubt is a certified classic too. The style Jay used on that record was unique as fuck, and it will NEVER sound dated. And what was Ghostface's certified classic? Supreme Clientele? I agree it's dope but to call it a CLASSIC? I don't know about that man.

Also, like I said, BDK was BEFORE Rakim, he pioneered the style Rakim used. How come he gets absolutely no love on your guys' lists?

Just saying that when people say shit like Rakim isn't your number one? Then you don't know shit about hip-hop! It's a product of their own double-standards and 99% of the time they don't even see their own hypocrisy when they say it.
So the first people to inject social commentary into rap, the first emcee to win a rap battle, and the first rappers to show America what real hip-hop is isn't as important as what Rakim did?

What EXACTLY was it that Rakim did again?

Do yourself a favor smart guy.

    Find the definition of irony.

Then, try to apply it to what I said.

    Continued-education, look into it...

You call me dumb, yet you don't even know how to use the word "irony."

    Now THAT'S ironic...

    Wow @ this dude.
You told someone to do 'real' research and see what it takes to be GOAT.
But, had you yourself done 'real' research(or possessed any type of common sense), you'd see that it's impossible for a GOAT to exist.
You failed to recognize that, called me dumb for it, then turned around, and used the same type of logic I was using to try and prove that I don't know what irony is.
THAT, is ironic, idiotic, faggity, etc.
    But, it's why I <3 your posts.

Is that what I said? Or did I allude to doing research on the history and influence of other emcees before deeming Rakim the GOAT, because he was the most influential?

Again, contact your English teacher and tell him he/she is a dumb fuck for producing you.

The rest of your post, thus, has nothing to do with me, since you have seemingly no ability to interpret context.

Jesus man, I don't think everyone should go to college, but you could seriously use some education...

It really doesn't matter what you said, specifically.
The fact that you think a GOAT is possible, proves my point.
    Sorry :)
Hmm, there's a term for when this happens in a Debate.
When, a person is wrong on details concerning the opposing argument, but the opposition proves them to be correct still, simply because at their core, they were always in the 'wrong.'
    You're a victim of it D:

    Actually no, it doesn't.

    At all.

Mainly because me believe that a GOAT is possible has nothing to do with your point.
Do you know what "hypocrisy" is? Or do you think of it the same way as you do "irony"?

The fact that a GOAT can't exist has everything to do with my point.
Have you been reading my posts? Eh, I suppose not, that'd explain a lot.
And yes -- I know what hypocrisy is, but that is not the term, nor does my explanation of the term in question describe hypocrisy.
Keep ascending(or descending) to new levels of idiocy, kid.
    You make it work <3

You injected yourself in my discussion, with others, who believe there is a GOAT.

Nobody cares what you think, and your pseudo-intellectual analysis of the concept of GOAT does not make you smart, it makes you pretentious.

There is no "real" research on the concept of the greatest of all time, therefore, there is nothing ironic about my post.

Now shut the fuck up already, you have no place in this discussion...

You believe there can be a GOAT.
    There cannot be one.
Doing real research would bring to light the impossibility of a GOAT when it comes to Art(it's called aesthetics, you fucking idiot).
Given all that, you telling someone to do real research, concerning a GOAT, is ironic, among other faggitisms that you seem compelled to put on display for us all.
    Fuck outta here.
Btw -- Idc if forum prowlers don't care for my opinion.
Ya'll are sitting here debating whether or not Nas is the greatest rapper of all time, lmao...
