They have the week record. But I think em might have got'em on the day record.
if N sync sold 2 million in one day, then they hold the Week record by like 500,000 in just there first day of sales
Joey man in Grade 11, we did that lil contest, where we go up infront of the class and Simmons gave us a question, and we had to answer it and Simmons asked when i was up against marrisa who sold the most records in 1 week
and i said 50 cent
and i was right,
so im assuming it was him...
N Sync sold 1 Million in one day, I think.
how much did 50 sell in his first day? and em?
Not even close. Maybe half of that.
nah, i think 50 sold 5 mill in one week....and its the record.
because i was thinking....5 million people are stupid as fuck.
Here's 50's first week sales.
& it's not really close to nsyncs.
good...nsync would eat 50 in battle.
thats bullshit, fifter went 1.5 plat in a week, it was all over the news and i even got an XXL mag where it says it
Rolling stones is on some shit
nah, Em had it I believe or someone weird and 50 actualy holds it, last I heard
you guys suck at finding out info.
The record for the greatest first week sales of an album in the US is held by *NSYNC. it sold 2.41 million copies of their album No Strings Attached when it was released on March 21, 2000. It sold a record one million copies on the first day, shipped a record seven million in the first two weeks and sold over 100,000 copies a week for a record 26 successive weeks.
^damn you're good
(5/29/02, 4 p.m. ET) -- Eminem's third album, The Eminem Show, enters the Billboard 200 albums chart at Number One this week after selling more than 284,500 copies, according to Soundscan. The Aftermath/Interscope album was released on Sunday (May 26), so the chart-topping debut marks the first time an album has entered at the top spot without the benefit of a full first week of sales. The Eminem Show was "officially" on sale for only about 36 hours for the chart week that ended Sunday (May 26).
(2/13/03, 7 a.m. ET) -- Rapper 50 Cent's Shady Records/Aftermath Entertainment debut, Get Rich Or Die Tryin', debuts on top of the Billboard 200 albums chart this week. With only a weekend's worth of sales, the rapper has already moved 872,000 copies of the set.
It looks like 50 Cent won't have to die trying to get rich. His debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin', debuted at #1 on the Billboard Charts, selling a spectacular 872,000 first-week copies. 50 Cent's debut has set the record for best-selling debut album since SoundScan implented weekly sales tracking in 1991, beating Snoop Dogg's 1993 debut, Doggystyle (which sold 802,000 copies in its first week).
The sales are even more impressive considering that 50 Cent's album hit stores on Thursday, and thus had only 5 days to amass the huge 872,000 total. Get Rich or Die Tryin' outsold the rest of the weeks top 10 albums...combined. Experts believe that the album would have topped a million sales, but most stores sold out after the first 2-3 days
