^Well, you got me on that one.

That still doesn't mean much though. Nelly will continue to have mainstream success. Should he be listed as a GOAT?

And I'm not hating on all old school rappers, just the ones who refuse to evolve. I still bump Gangstarr and Masta Ace on the reg...

Canibus is nicer than anyone in that lot.
All day long. And you're talking to a Smack DVD junkie.
I've seen all the Mook and Millz battles.
None of them kids are as nice as Canibus. NONE of them.

No, because he doesn't have the other elements to go along with it.
LL presents a full case. From impact, influence, originality, sales, longevity...

    LL's definitely done that.
"Headsprung" is quite the diversion from "Pink Cookies..."

Nellys BEEN doin' it, so longevity and sales are LOCKED up.
You can't say Nelly wasn't original.
Impact n influence? Look at all the Louis rappers that came out after him.
The only way that LL has evolved is his flow. It's smoother. Everything else, has stayed in the 90's...

That is the point dip shit. Time and skills are relative. Get a clue. Your argument does not hold water.

Just say that you are too young to appreciate anything before 1995. Leave it at that and move on. Thsi is not your first post with this same kind of nonsense. I want to agree with your premise (I don't listen to old school anymore) but you state it in such a weak way. To compare the eras is almost impossible. What was important then is not important now.

Nelly has three, count them three, album releases to date.
You call that longevity? Maybe for an artist with as little talent as he has...

As for the artists he's been influential over?
    Other St. Louis acts...
None of them are anything like him.
Unless you count those in his respective crew.

Mind you, I live just 4 hours up I-70.

I guess if you ignore the fact that "Headsprung" is completely different from the records he was doing in the 90's...

see that's your problem. you hate dude so you arent willing to give him proper recognition for his skill.

i fucking cant stand big daddy kane. personally i just dont like dude. but i still can listen to his songs, i still give the dude his credit because he was ill. personal opinion on someone shouldnt deter you from recognizing their skill.

No I just don't think he's all that skilled. He's your average rapper with a better vocabulary.
    How so?

the only thing that has stopped bis from having a classic is production..he's got all the makings of a great album and rapper. his flow is great, his vocabulary might be the best in the game and his topics are disgusting..and battle wise he shits on your favorite rappers favorite rapper..unless your favorite rappers favorite rapper is nas or jay-z..

    moron.
how many battles have jay-z and nas been in? stupid.

i agree on the production part of your statement though, you idiot. a lot of times i just get tired of the garbage beats he rhymes on.. like "spartibus".. shit got annoying as hell. he has some decent beats every now and then but for the most part they're all garbage.
