    i'm not a cook.

and any one of those three guys there would beat the fuck out of your scrawny ass easily.

i just graduated from the intel analyst course today. prior to that, i was a nuclear/biological/chemical weapons specialist. before that, i was infantry. and my first job was forward observer. bottom line- your accomplishments(if you have any at all) are crap compared to anything i've done in my military career.

if you truly had even one functionin' brain cell, you'd realize that i bust my ass on the job; and then come here and ridicule you lame fucks to the point where every night y'all have a loaded gun in y'all mouths and havin' a serious debate in y'all own minds on whether or not to pull the trigger and end y'all meaningless existences.

    i. am. just. that. fucking. talented.

and you just got sonned by the truth. again.

The military was a cake walk...

Every single thing you do is planned out for you...There's absolutely no individual thought process involved whatsoever. The infantry was filled with a bunch of idiots. Low ASVAB score? Welcome to the infantry, here's an M-16, have fun with stand-to and paint-by-numbers military tactics.

The civilian life is much harder to be successful in. I made my 6 in 4 years as a 14 Tango. I'm sure Double has ran into a few of them as they migrated into Bragg.

I enjoyed the camaraderie, parties, and true-friends I made within my time in the military. But I also enjoy making 4x the salary and creative freedom I'm allowed in the civilian world. Not to mention the deployments and field problems got old after awhile.

Overall, I have good memories. But I'm too ambitious for their pay-scale.

here's where i'll interject new's post with some facts.

he wasn't in the infantry, so he doesn't really know shit about it.

there's lots of smart guys in the infantry. just for some reason ppl not in it think that it's a bunch of dumb muh' fuckas. not the case.

i've known so many smart muh' fuckas in that shit it's not funny. moreso than military intelligence.

and if news had everything planned out for him, it's obvious that his ideas weren't valued in his unit.

news probably just had a bad experience durin' his time in, and now is bitter about the whole thing.

cause today's military values independent thought.

unless you're not capable of such. then you're just told what to do.

sorry news- guess you're better off not tryin' to run with the big dogs.

civilian life is way too easy.

Double, you're an eight year cherry sergeant.

    You have no facts.

You've had no experience or success in the civilian world, so you have no place to comment. If your idea of individual thought process involves leading a small squad in drills that are taught on a daily basis; or leading them through field set-up and breakdown, then I'm far from impressed. Because Buck Sergeants are a dime a dozen, and the good ones get promoted thru the ranks a hell of a lot faster then you have.

    And big dogs?

Please. Easiest job i've ever worked in my life.

It was there for personal growth. Gave me time to find out which way I wanted to take my life.

The ones that stick around in the Non-Commissioned ranks are either institutionalized or have absolutely nothing going for them in the outside world and figure they might as well continue to play second fiddle to the officers command.

Watch your 15-20 year First Sergeant take orders from a Captain that's been in the military for 3 to 4 years.

Then think about what role you play in the scheme of things.

    [funny], newportz is that dude

although i respect double ML's line of work and don't seek to down it as being "inferior" in any way, he needs to understand some things

i'm sure he already does though and that's why his temperament is so fighting mad

for the benefit of the globe's soulsphere, i really wish his energy could be transformed

    lmao[funny]

what i said wasn't meant as a personal attack on you.

but a quick question- were you barred from reenlistment?

    and BWAHAHAHAHA@cherry sergeant[funny]

you're a comedian. who doesn't come close to what's really goin' on.

anyways- i respect that you actually served, but your inaccurate portrayal of military life is highly irresponsible.

i don't know what kind of jackass unit you were in, but the ones i've been in require ppl to be able to think on their own.

and as far as promotions go, i was stuck in a branch that just didn't promote. but i just switched to MI and i'll have my E7 in 2 years- 3 at most.

pyro- i rip you viciously every time you open your bitch mouth with somethin' negative in my direction. and you know this; woman.

new didn't rip anyone. he just said some misguided stuff, and i had to make an on the spot correction.

    problem solved. end of discussion.

I wasn't sure how to take it, and I tried to spare any type of personal attacks just in case you weren't meaning it to be disrespectful.

You zoned in too hard on the negatives that I stated in my first post though.

I never said the Military was some terrible life decision or lacked the respect of any other profession.

Fuck, I promote the military to a lot of kids. It gives discipline, structure, job stability and a team building environment. It also gives a solid promotion chain where respect is given based on the level you reach. They're all positives.

You're missing my point of the creative freedom. I'm not commenting to say you're just some drone that follows a pre-programmed itinerary and can't stray for personnel strategy. But the structure is set a lot tighter and meant to be followed.

Orders are given to the platoon sergeant, then to the section chief and so on. Your day is set. Handle business, wait for formation, and go home. Easy money.

The situations in the civilian world aren't always so structured. And i'm not talking about the kids on here that still work for minimum wage.

You're given a lump of clay, expected to mold a lump of shit into a diamond and move the fuck on. I dont care how you do it, just get it done or i'll find someone else to handle business.

and WTF at barred from re-enlistment? I ETS'd with an MSM and a battalion commander hanging off the ball sac trying to get me to re-enlist.

If it weren't for my vast intelligence and steadfast unwillingness to abide by any sort of protocol, I would make a much more effective soldier and superego absolved killing machine than double la eunuch.

Who’s to say that Verb isn’t an intelligent guy?

Maybe he’s linguistically challenged due to environment and a limited number of years speaking the English language, but has a great deal of practical intelligence/street smarts?

    i agree with this

verb seems like someone with alot of common sense/street smarts, and personable too.

i wouldnt be suprised if some of the people who have messed with him over the years, callin him a moron, wouldnt survive in situations where verb would
    (just speakin in general)

i'm sorry, but if you think verb possesses even the most meager amount of intelligence, then you are just flat out lyin' to yourself.

verb would get ate up in the streets.

Double, you do realize that 95% of anyone in america can do exactly what you did, right? It's as simple as signing a contract. Most people do it for the sign-on bonus alone due to desperation.
Getting through a university and actually giving yourself true opportunity without the consequences of being shot at is far more worthwhile, but more difficult as well.

    rippy- keep lyin' to yourself.

maybe one day you'll actually believe it.

if the army was so easy, more would do it.
