of any and all genres, except country.

I'm currently on my rapidshare grind. I've downloaded about 80-90 albums so far today.

yet, i'd still appreciate it if you'd recommend me any music worth checking out. a list of your top albums of the year...and yesteryear's if not too much trouble.(rapidshare links are welcomed, but not required)

i'll do the same in following posts in this thread, of any recently released albums i've downloaded that merit a mention.

    good day.

    Thanks.

I'm mainly hoping to get those of you that have musical interests other than hip hop.

I pretty much have that covered.

Huh, Looks like I already had some Poe...a song of hers was in this JDilla 12 disk anthology i got a few months ago. He must of produced that track. more of that if you will.

    What do we think of

    Five Eight
    The Happy Hollows
    Hospital Ships
    Papercuts
    King Khan and the Shrines
    BrakesBrakesBrakes
    The Soft Pack
The Pains of Being Pure of Heart
    Harlem Shakes
    Foreign Born
    Tiny Masters of Today
    The Appleseed Cast
    An Horse
    Dntel
Discovery( nice, that's twice they've been mentioned)
    Future of the Left
    Handsome Furs
    Math the Band

These have all been mentioned to me, and i've heard clips and previews and all sounded good enough to download, but do any of you see any bands on that list that i should just ignore?

Out of that entire list these are the only two that I've heard of.

I didn't like POBPAT that much.. but you may.

Math the Band is on some weird shit but it's fresh.

I'm about to download their newest album right now.

    2009:

Lily Allen - It's Not Me, It's You
Kasabian - West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum
    La Roux - La Roux
Anthony and the Johnsons - The Crying Light
Ashes to Ashes series 2 soundtrack
    Eminem - Relapse

Some stuff I've been listening to recently:

    MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
    David Bowie - Hunky Dory
Joanna Newsome - The Milk-Eyed Monster
    Elvis Perkins - Ash Wednesday
John Lennon - Some Time in New York City (his least popular album, but I think there's a few gems)
    Wings - London Town
Blur - Modern Life is Rubbish
    The Kooks - Konk
Katie Melua - Piece by Piece
    Coldplay - Parachutes

I wouldn't necessarily strongly recommend all of that though... I've been going through a weird spell recently where I've been listening to a lot of stuff I'm not even that big a fan of.

If you're looking into Jeff Buckley you need to d/l 'Mystery White Boy' and 'Live at Olympia'.

    He could work an audience.
