Bout how I imagined.
The only real surprise for me is I thought Russia would be more Ice Hockey than soccer, considering that they've always been good at ice hockey and sucked at soccer.
Interesting how the US appears to be the only country that's divided instead of listed by the majority.
I'd chalk that up to the US being so diverse.
Russia sucked at football?
You clearly dont know what you are writing.
My bad. I just thought that Russia won a lot of hockey medals at the Olympics and hasn't done shit in a single World Cup.
More people watch world cup and European championship than Olympics.
They haven't made it out of the first round in the World Cup I believe. (Appears to be as Russia instead of Soviet Union) They are even behind the Americans. So if Russia doesn't suck at soccer, than neither does the US.
Even if you want to debate me on the minor point, I still don't see how Russia's more popular sport is soccer over ice hockey, which was the larger point I've been trying to make. What about the shit load of Russians in the NHL?
happy to say i'm proud basketball is the most popular in California.
European championship is stronger than wc.
Champions league and European league are played yearly.
What is so hard for you to understand?
Why you sticking only to wc, that aint the center of football, its only played every 4 years.
Look, we're not going to agree on this. I don't see Russia as being good at soccer, both historically or presently, especially in comparison to ice hockey. And 2, I don't see how Russia favors a sport they're "meh" at rather than one they've come close to dominating.
I'm not saying your graph is wrong, I'm just saying I'm surprised by it.
We're not going to agree so can we drop it? This is a lot more time spent than I'd ever want to spend discussing soccer.
Edit: Now that I think about it, this is also way more time spent than I'd ever want to spend discussing anything with you.
Also who the fuck does USA compete to qualify for wc?
The only one decent on this list is Mexico with 3-4 good players.
If Russia ends up 2nd they will have to fight with someone else from other groups that also ended on 2nd place.
They are currently 17th on fifa ranking, if that is meh then we have nothing else to discuss.
If you think Russia is better at soccer than ice hockey, then we have nothing to discuss.
Then again I wanted to stop discussing this a long time ago because I'm not a fan of talking about soccer, or talking to you in general, so either way.....we have nothing more to discuss.
Now good day to you sir. (I actually did think the graph was neat for the record)
Idk if they are better at ice hockey, you cant play ice hockey any time you want, you cant play it anywhere you want, football you can, this is about popularity, not at what they are better.
I can play ice hockey when ever I want and I live in the south in the US.
If they can play hockey in Phoenix and Hotlanta, I imagine they can play it in Russia yearlong.
Russia is clearly better at hockey than they are at football.....but the pic is for popularity. Solved.
I understand this. My point was that I'm surprised that in Russia soccer is more popular than hockey. It doesn't make sense to me. I'm not challenging Geedorah's graph or his posts thereafter.
I was dumbing it down for Gee.
Why would anyone watch hockey were only like 5 teams compete?
You find that interesting?
