Most Addictive 2D Games.....I need HELP!

    Im looking to make another 2D game and Im having trouble coming up with an Idea for the basic gameplay........

    So whats some of the most addictive 2D graphics games yall can remember.......


    Im just trying to come up with some Ideas for gameplay.....but if yall got Ideas for storyline or anything else go ahead and hit me up........

    Super Mario World for the SNES, that was dope, I was only like 7 at the time but I used to really love that game, even though I couldn't get far on it. Got an emulator lately as well, and been playing it on that.

    Super Mario Kart as well.

    I enjoy Streets of Rage as well, but that gets a bit repetitive sometimes, especially nowadays.

    Streets of Rage, Mortal Kombat, California Games, Alex the Kid, Street Fighter, POKEMON laugh all you want but i was hooked on that shit. Old final fantasies.
