Money is the opposite of God. God is the Creator. Money is “liquid creation;” it is what we use to acquire created things. Money is not evil. It is not a sin to have it, even lots of it. Nor is it a curse to not have lots of it. What does this mean in your life, “We are to love God and use money; not use God and love money?”

Money is distracting. The pursuit of money and the energy it takes to maintain it (and the things we buy with it) distracts us from God, family and others. Do you know people who have lost touch with God because of the pursuit and maintenance of money? Do you know people who have lost touch with their family? Do you know people who have lost touch with their scruples? (Please don’t name names or point fingers!)

Money is dividing. There are the “haves” and the “have-nots.” There people who have boats and people who don’t. Some people have season tickets; some don’t. Some have designer clothes; some have discount clothes.

money isn't evil, but it's definitely the root of all evil

    all separation stems from money
