Another week with no hopes of a UFC event,
WE can however check out some news in that same field...
Starting with an apology from Jon Jones,
    [IMG]
Hard to disagree with those last couple of sentences...In the end of the day though,
Jones and his family would of done fine on 8 days notice.. Maybe not Jones as he thinks,
but his family still would of seen the money, as well as like 20 other fighters and their families...
Comparing himself to Jesus too, are you kidding me?
At-least he took time out of his day to update his Twitter...

    In a rather odd corner,
former Featherweight title-contender Chad Mendes reportedly
sucker-punched a man to regain confidence in his hands.
He is being charged with Battery and facing 6 months in prison MAX,
as well as a 2000$ fine.

Odd and disappointing are similar no? I kinda think of them similarly,
so in a similar disappointing corner, Rampage and King Mo have settled their beef and become friends...
Furthermore proving Rampage is now a bitch.
They take turns taking shots @ Chael,
    [IMG]
Honestly, neither of them are about their business, and neither can back up their tough talk. For one, apparently King Mo forgot this is Quinton's last fight for the UFC, and he is leaving on bad terms, he WILL not be fighting any time soon...Also judging by how Quinton is best friends with King Mo when he sees him face to face (whereas to a camera he states he'll fight him anywhere), I doubt he'll ever fight Sonnen at all. Something tells me these guys share syringes.

Lastly, to finish off the corner, we have the UFC Heavyweight Champ
and his thoughts of the future/Cain Velasquez,
    [IMG]
A LOT of news, what are your thoughts FOLKS???

    Oh yea...

Coming back to a familiar corner to past readers, Joe Lauzon,
28 year old UFC Vet coming off a Fight of the Night performance against Jamie Varner,
explains why he picked Maynard to fight next:
Lauzon is a beast and I take him as a man of his word. That being said though,
this is going to be a TOUGH fight...ONE HELL of a fight for us fans, can't wait!

UFC 153 Main Card All Set!

UFC's return to Brazil is looking to be a great one, with Aldo fighting for a title once again.
Assuming he wins here, big, I can't see Brazil not claiming him as their "Favorite".

Featherweight Champ Jose Aldo vs. Challenger Erik Koch.
Quinton "Rampage" Jackson vs. Glover Teixeira @ Light-Heavyweight.
Jon Fitch vs. Erick Silva @ Welterweight.
Phil Davis vs. Wagner Prado @ Light-Heavyweight.
Demian Maia vs. Rick Story @ Welterweight.

A Featherweight Title fight, and 4 "Prove Yourself" fights split between the Light-Heavyweight and Welterweight divisions...
This card is SOLID to say the least.
The preliminary card also includes Gabriel Gonzaga, Diego Brandao, and Gleison Tibau.

    News

Shogun's camp on why he turned down Jones fight:
Shogun's time should have come, but it didn't, remember Jones took a fight with Shogun weeks out,
why cant Rua return the favor??

Speaking of Jones, UFC 152's fight card is finalized,
and the roster is looking like this:

10pm on PPV, WATCH live in TORONTO
(First 2 Title Event in Toronto)
Champ Jon Jones vs. Vitor Belfort for light-heavyweight title.
Joseph Benavidez vs. Demetrious Johnson for inaugural flyweight title.
Michael Bisping vs. Brian Stann @ middleweight.
Matt Hamill vs. Vladimir Matyushenko @ light-heavyweight.
Charles Oliveira vs. Cub Swanson @ Featherweight.

Toronto gets a stellar 5 fight main-card, featuring the American phenom Jon Jones,
as well as the Brazilian one! Not to mention the smallest man with KO power, Joseph Benavidez,
British bad-boy Michael Bisbing, American-War-Hero Brian Stann, returning Light-heavyweight Matt Hamill and
    lightweight-turned Featherweight Charles Oliveira.

Heck, even the Facebook card gets Charlie Brenneman vs Kyle Noke,
Preliminary card featuring Vinny Magalhaes return, as well as the return of Sean Peirson,
former Toronto Cop, to Toronto (last time being knocked out quickly).

Tired of the UFC news?? How could I forget about their little sister Strikeforce?
Interested in who will be next to face Nate Marquardt for the Welterweight Title?
Tarec Saffiedine seems to think he has earned it,
    [IMG]
Do you think he has earned his shot? Maybe a #1 Contenders bout with Jordan Mein?
Tarec is the only WW fighter in Strikeforce I can think of who is consistently winning,
whether he would be able to beat Nate or not.

LASTLY, VERY important news for WELTERWEIGHT fans....
The man, the Myth, the Legend...

    YUP, GSP is BACK!!!

We have many more Corners to Discover...

    Vitor Belfort is a legend,
whether his past is tainted or not.
He will never live down his mistakes,
but he has a second chance here from Dana.
Can he wipe away all his wrong doings?

Here's Vitor's thoughts on the Title situation:
Vitor is the type of Middleweight we want to see Jones against.
The man has pride, KO ability, and a never say die attitude.
A win over Belfort, especially round 1 or 2, is HUGE for Jones.

If you were paying attention to the Quote, you may have noticed Evans been brought up. In similar news, here is Rashad's take on the 'Jones Situation':
Oh shit Rashad just said I told you so, lmaooo.

Last but not least, we have one more Legendary corner to enter,
Mr. Henderson, Dan Henderson. Turning 42 5 days ago,
it is clear his time with the UFC is numbered.
Here are his thoughts on his career,
    and explanation of his injury:

    Thoughts folks???

In a corner I am definitely happy to be entering,
one involving Anderson Silva, and GSP,
lets take a look at what the pound for pound great
Anderson Silva had to say about Georges:

The one thing that needs to happen for THIS fight to happen,
is Georges and Anderson actually LOBBYING for the fight.
Obviously the fans want it, and even the UFC could need it,
as a way to clarify they have the best two fighters in the sport,
and can actually get them to fight before they are former images of themselves.

We can't just let Anderson sell Condit that short right...
Lets give a part of the corner to Condit,
as he deserves some credit himself:

ok lemme start with jon jones apology. total bullshit. that carry the cross reference was a little awkward does jon really think he is sacrificing himself? he is doing the exact opposite by playing it safer than any other champion in history. like stated before by rashad: he got his title shot by an injury also. and when that was announced, shoguns reaction (in broken english) was that it didnt matter he will fight anyone anywhere. thats a real champion. i hate this money talks mentality of todays fighters.

"Chad Mendes reportedly sucker-punched a man to regain confidence in his hands." i actually laughed so hard at this that my girlfriend gave me a funny look.

rampage smh its a shame how his career is coming to an end...

JDS is a real champion. he will kill whoever

    victor will die.

lauzon vs gray will end without judges decision. ill take lauzon but its a dead even fight.

    brendan will sleep

THIS IS TOO MUCH IN ONE TOPIC. SPREAD IT OUT NEXT TIME SO THERE CAN BE PROPER REPLIES
