Coming soon to the Frankfurt Auto Show in September later this year, Mitsubishi has released a few photos of its new Lancer Evolution X for fans to drool over. Set on kill, this thing should definitely give a lot of the new muscle cars a run for their money.

An improved torque distribution and braking management system have been added to this all-wheel drive beast to allow even more power and precision on both the straights and the curves. A new lightweight version of the venerable 2.0L turbo mill with MIVEC3 valve control plus an aluminum cylinder block have been added to shave off additional weight to lower the overall curb weight of this Evo. Also added to this model is a brand new six-speed automated manual transmission which promises faster gear changes and better fuel economy.

Those wanting this domestic killer can expect it to arrive state-side in the first quarter of 2008. A price tag has not been announced but I'm sure it'll be mentioned in the near future.

yeah, this definitely grew on me quick. The look is MUCH better than the old box evo of last generation. That was a horrid body style. This has an aggressive look.

    says the GM driver.

(sorry had to) It's like a Kia driver dropping insults on a Hyundai driver.

There was a GOOD reason DaimlerChrysler divested in Mitsubishi, and it had to do with somthing like a 6 billion dollar hole they were in. They dont make dividends in the U.S. market. You must have missed the factory closings in Canada.

Shareholders wanted out of that tub of shit and to continue making great automobiles under the Mercedes-Benz name. DaimlerChrysler was hoping someone would buy its share in the Japanese company and let it off the hook!

To most Americans Mitsubishi simply doesn't exist.

So until "Mitsubishi" gets on the level of the Automobile SUPERPOWER General Motors. There is no comparison.

Yea, I have an 02' Galant right now that I thought about trading in for an 07 Lancer. They're going for like 13-14 right now in Orlando.
