Local News | Boy's survival from near-drowning has medical explanations | Seattle Times Newspaper
so why did those kids in the car crash in washington or wherever recently all die even though the water was cold?
nobody's saying that cold water guarantees you'll survive being submerged. it simply can extend the period which you can survive underwater, but there are no guarantees.
there's more than one way to die from drowning. their lungs could have filled with water. they could have suffered a cardiac arrest. and it very well could have turned out that this kid didn't survive either, that's just not what happened. this was a medical explanation of how that is possible, not a suggestion that cold water or young age guarantees survival.
But the thing is he didn't survive. They said he was dead for 20-30 minutes.
What about skydivers that survive falling?
How bout a mechanic cut in half by a big rig severes 5 major arteries, regrows 5 feet of intestines, 2 inches of spine, and a pancreas.
and what about skydivers who survive falling..? do you really want me to google another answer for you?
