America attempts a panel show, looks more like a gameshow. It's good though. Very hardcore and fast paced. I'm not accustomed to the game being take seriously. And I get the feeling the host laughs a bit too hard.

It's a shame that Americans don't get the panel format. I think it's stagnated in the UK because it's the same 10 comics doing all 49845 shows but it'd work well in the US.

I liked jesselnik's panel. sometimes would get funny but wish they wouldn't censor so much.

haven't checked out @MIDNIGHT cuz it's just too late for me usually. i'll watch it when it's on on demand.

Pretty much. Whitehall actually had to bring on his father.

You can probably stream it, since you're in the us.

there are tons of comedians with halfway decent followings who would work cheap. i really don't see how panel shows wouldn't work in the u.s.

They could work, America has the talent, they just need to ease up. This one felt like they were doing a sketch. Just trying too hard to sell, so it came off disingenuous.

Green room with Paul Provenza was as good as I've seen from America, but that was more like a chat show, than a panel show.

Yeah, he especially had the feel of a salesman. Laughed way too hard.

Actually, the best I've seen was Whose Line is it Anyway. That was really good. Drew Carey was a great host.

Seinfeld tried with Marriage Ref. I thought it was a good concept, just need actual comedians, not Alec Baldwin. And that host was wank.

yeah I did love the US version of Whose Line. that shit always had me laughing. It hurt watching Drew go to PIW cuz you have to force corny jokes.

Chris forces jokes, is stiff and laughs where he doesn't need to. I'd say he hosted Web Soup than any of his other shows. It's almost like watching Busta if he were to try saying his lines.

I like jesselnik and it seems non-pc comedians would have the best chance at success as they could save a dud by making fun of the person who dropped the lame joke.

    Jesselnik is brilliant.

But when he bombs, it's slightly uncomfortable.

And you can only do so many cleverly crafted dead children jokes.
