I got a new computer because my old one died for whatever reason, and it records audio just fine. But the problem that has been driving fucking insane is that the line-in monitor in the headphones isn't loud for shit. I used to be able to hear all the way downstairs with my volume's set to normal now I can barely hear myself speak into the fucking microphone. Turning up gain/whatever on the mixer just makes the WAVs way too fucking big, and the "Input Monitor" on my computer isn't nearly sufficient enough. Are there any programs I can D/L to remedy this or is it a soundcard problem?

    EDIT: it's a fucking Dell

Its a Dell, might be something as simple as a driver update.
