same mic aon told me to cop.....
This thread got kinda buried didnt it, but got a question
Would the Shure KSM27 and a Presonus MP20 be a good combo for a mid/hi voice(mostly mid but gets hi on some stressed words)? I want a pretty clear but smooth sound. Let me know aight.
Dark and grimy voice..I use a behringer b1...
my voice has allot of bass and is really grungy and dark..
Is the mic im using (behringer b-1) the best mic for the provided aplication
of my voice? Or shuld I be using something else?
My voice is medium when it comes to color...and is pretty clean and clear but just has allot of bass frequencies. When mixing I drop the bass to a negative 4 db and bring my highs and even mids up for the sound I want...is there a mic that i shuld be using..thanks
I think I've answered this 4 times now, but the answer is this.
They are all upfront mics.
None are overly warm, and all capture most voices well, while the 3060 works better IME, for mids, than the VSM does.
The Shure however, if what I would choose, should I need a mic, that's more versitile on more voices, and handles screamers better.
I believe it would be, as long as the IDSS button isn't used, it can add too much warmth.
You should check into the following.
Studio Projects C1
Yes, those mics are worlds apart, and the C1 works best for deep voices, but you also mentioned that your voice is clean and clear, and the Rode NT2000 really puts character into that.
aight thnx man
The picture is missing..
I don't see the AT3035 on there and I have a question about it what flavor is it?
and what pre-amp would be a good combo for my voice I have a mid-high voice.....right now I am using the presonus tubePRE and I heard that I should def upgrade as soon as I can if I want the best from my microphone.....true?
so what would be a nice preamp AFFORDABLE under $300 if we can ....(but if its nessacary to spend 500 gimme the choices)
www.soundclick.com/tyrantz360 "the audios that say kevin james on there"
what do I want with my voice a more colored and dark sound right or colored and bright??
MMP2 + At3035 = good combo for my voice??
I want the best I can get out of it if possible
this shit is fire
Word, I wanna know about the following mics:
I'm planning to cop a mic soon in that price range, and I wanna know what I should get. OR, maybe AON or someone can listen to my shit recorded on an AT3035 and judge:
Right now people say that the AT3035 fits my voice in that price range. I have a mid-high voice. I dunno though.
By the way, AON I've been trying to talk to you about equipment on AIM but it seems you're never online.
The Shure KSM 44 is transparent.
The Babybottle is colored, I would say semi bright.
As far as me never being online, I've been working various jobs, ever since I got fired from my bouncer job...long story lol, however I found a job, selling Health Insurance from home, which pays $$$$$$$$$$$$ so I should be able to be online more often.
^^ oh ok. shit i need to find a mic in that price range that's dark and colored. i think that's what's supposed to fit my voice. my voice is like mid-high.
Yeah it's cool man, hopefully I'll be able to catch you online soon.
Dark and colored?
^^ cool cool. It's kinda expensive though. More expensive than the ksm44. fuck. lol. I'll see I'll see.
plus do i really need the switchable polar patterns?
Anyway, I just read over the posts in this thread, and BPINCdef said that his ksm44 is kinda dark and colored? hmm, maybe ill just stick to that. I don't really care as much about the transparent/colored thing anyway, I mostly care about whether it's dark or bright.
Shouldn't have someone stickied this by now?
It's a bitch and a half tryna find it.
wats wit the lack of dark/transparent combo mics.. .grrrrrr
How much of a difference is the sound between the MXL V67 and the V69, i have the V67 and like how it sounds and was thinkin bout gettin the V69.
