Rewind, with a clean pre like a Grace 101, the V67G might give you the sound you want, however it's a faintly dark mic, and on low-mid voices sounds very muddy, but you have a high voice, so the V67G, or Oktava 319 (if you want that darker sound) might be what you need.

I haven't used the GT-55, nor the GT-MD6TM but once, so I really couldn't make a judgement from a one time use.

I've tested almost all of these mics, none makes my voice sound better than the Rode NT1 though...that mic works wonders on my high ass voice

    aight coo...

if u were the producer recordin me and my voice for rap, and u had to make a choice between 2 setups to record me, which would u choose? (diregard the price i would have to spend because it comes out to be roughly the same)

    set up 1:
    Mp20 pre (currently own)
either a ADK TL, ADK TC, MXL V77, or a CAD VSM

    set up 2:
    Grace 101 pre
    Marshall V67G

    i got a higher pitched/aggressive voice

heres the sample of my voice-please peep it because that would make your answer most accurate...

Rewind, this is what I suggest.

Start off with your Presonus, because after you use it, with the new mic, you'll know rather or not it's the pre for you, and only you will know that, from hearing it.

    As for the mic...
    What sound do you want?

ADK TL isnt very upfront, but works well on high voices, better than the AKG 414.
ADK TC is a very upfront mic.
MXL V77 is upfront, warm, probably the last choice in the group for a high voice.
    CAD VSM, upfront, warm, clear.

So you choose which of those you want, and go for it, none would be a wrong choice.

u mean MXL V67? or do u mean the MXL V77 like u typed?

and from this description, sounds like the CAD VSM is the best one...its got it all...

just curious...how is the ADK TL not very upfront but still work good on high voices?
for a mic to work good on high voices, wouldnt it have to be upfront/?
and previously u mentioned to me that at 3060 is a good choice too...did u jus forget to mention it this time, or are these mics u jus listed now better for me in your opinion?

The ADK isn't extremely upfront, but yes, it does work good on high voices.

The AT 3060 is a mic that is upfront, and warm.

The CAD VSM and 3060 are somewhat similar.

Both have a pretty big upfront sound, both are fairly warm.
