Maybe Cane DID the right idea...

I seem to recall an interview with him done a couple of months ago (possibly longer) where he said all a league needs is hype behind everyone and everything done on time. The magazines, the new battles, the rankings etc. I think initially a lot of heads were sceptical about Nasty and Master Peace and how good they could do the job, but these guys have made it work between them, and just a couple of months later - the league is looking back on its feet.

I just wish Cane was still around to see it.

a good league is all about the extraciriculars.. ie the mags, previews, graphics

its amazing how much of a difference graphics can make. its weak that it comes down to that, but its true. its the little things that make leagues, tournies, ect successful.

good competitions makes a good mag, good competition makes good previews. graphics dont do shit but bling the league.

i mean ya, of COURSE having dope heads in it is a must... but overall its the little shit like the mag that keeps the tourney rolling, people interested and gets people motivated.

its all those little things that generate the hype and keep people interested. sure, you can have the best people in the world in the tourney, but if its ran poorly, with no extra shit, its not gonna be that great.

why? i kept them interested alright. interested in getting their game up. interested in being dope and getting to the top 20 cause shittalk was based on what youve done in rbl, not whos dick your on or what crew youre rollin with.

exatra shit is nice, sure, but its competition. sign ins. whos in, their agenda.

i jacked the best battlers from every other site, ruthless type shit. but like i said, 160 man league.

when I started doing this years ago leagues didnt even have mags
we had rankings and battles
and we cared more about battling than reading about what the mods thought about us
I agree I enjoy the mag and look forward to reading it
