were they 'elite' level sprinters? names? I've trained with & under Tommie Smith(who couldn't coach his way out of his own car) but I got the most knowledge from lesser known coaches who were fundamental in the development of some notable and accomplished Sprinters of the past. Mentioning them here would not raise any eyebrows unless one was knowledgeable of past greats in sprinting.
I say that to say that elite level sprinters do not train like HS or even your average D1 track athlete(I learned the hard way after wasting many years with inferior coaches methods & philosophies).
Elite level sprinters would not be doing the same workouts on consecutive days as that would lead to fatigue via over training and cause muscles to pull. There is a delicate balance between intensity & rest/recovery periods for a elite level sprinter...
I found that the more ignorant track coaches i trained under were prone to over training in there respective regiments.
well-yes, every sport has fundamental skill sets & techniques that must be internalized if an athlete wishes to progress in that sport.
But unlike Boxing, sprinters cannot afford to miss more than a couple days-to maybe a couple weeks(in extreme circumstances) before they start to fall further from that peak condition they are striving for by the time the outdoor season gets underway. Boxers that are already ready @ the elite level can take extremely long lay off periods and can & will be back into top shape in a matter of eight weeks-however, I also realize that a fighter who stays in some sort of light training regiment in between the intense camps and staying active in the ring will be that much sharper & in better condition.
which I was i need a distinction of whether you have worked with hs, college, pro or ELITE level sprinters.
well, I addressed this already in this post^
Yeah-I know this
its all good bro
I'd put all my medals on.
But I'm a nigger, so.

Usain Bolt hurts own image with shot at Carl Lewis - Yahoo! Sports
He's the greatest Olympian of all time according to 3x World Champion and Olympic Champion Dan O'brien - a man who know about multi-discipline events.
was this a serious post?
you do realize how the events work for sprinting correct?
hahah, for a second i thought that was phelp posing for a gay mag.
dead @ carl 'drugs cheat' lewis questioning any1 else
Dunno man, I value the opinion of gold medal winning Olympians more so than armchair sports "experts".
I understand not everyone feels that way, but that's just me.
how many prior olympians and journalists who've covered olympics for decades would put Bolt as #1? your post means nothing.. thats one man's opinion
how about Misty May and Keri Walsh? theyve dominated the comp for how many Olympics now??
see why this topic is senseless?
