For all of those picking Machida to win via stoppage, am I missing something. He never presses forward and almost always wins in the UFC via a decision. Most boring Light Heavy ever.

this is a weird fight though, because this tiago silva guy has never really faced a top teir guy , and all his fights are very quick, because he presses the pace and is very strong.... meanwhile machida lays back in the pocket and waits for you to bring it, then counters either striking or grappling.... the style matchup here is the real intrigue to me

    super aggressive vs. super conservative

again, i think it boils down to if tiago catches him with a bomb or if machida wears him down or , like fedor, capitalizes on a mistake

machida is not fun to watch, but he is very tactful and i could see the aggressiveness of silva working against him in this fight too

Machida always has a pretty good chance of finishing more aggressive opponents. Also, Silva has a suspect chin and garbage cardio.

Everyone that reads this post mute any music or television or any noise you have going on in the background. Lets have a moment of silence for GSP.

Silva got dropped in the opening round of his last match against Antonio Mendez. Silva was also getting murdered on the feet by James Irvin before his desperation takedown injured Irvin's knee.

im takin a chance on silva... hard fuckin decision..
i think hes going to come in overly aggressive.. somewhat sloppy..
perfect for machidas style, but for some reason i think he'll catch em on the right spot and turn it into his match

So Mr. Mark Eaton...was it really so far fetched to say Machida would finish?

Every time I think I'm going to win one somebody (profane) outpoints me. Guy nailed 3 of the decisions and the lyoto fight.

I had to go with my head a couple of times. i really wanted Diaz to win but i was so sure Clay was gonna stay out of harms way.
