    1. Intro

Welcome back everyone to the next edition of the RSTL Magazine. This week was very slow. Got Life? Appears to have an issue with oNe’s English which seems to be pretty entertaining. We came into this week without a champ. Let’s see if a champ was crowned

    2. Recap

This week we only had one no show and it happened to be in the championship match. So once again, Dic got the no show win. Let’s see how the other matches went

War vs. Keynote – This week War faced Keynote and dropped a verse despite his claim he was signing out. The match actually proved to be a very interesting read and both readers had great mechanics. This match up ended up being decided by which story was liked more. War’s story was good but had spelling errors while Keynote’s verse was said to be simple and boring. This gave War the 4-0 shutout victory

Shadow vs Got Life? – This match up had an interesting history. Shadow came into this matchup with a 1-0-1 record against GL but Got Life seemed to be looking to get his swag back. The readers had split decisions on this match and Shadow and GL both got one vote, pitiful I know. The readers felt that Shadow had a great story but GL had the more polished verse when it came to mechanics. Still, this match ended in a 1-1 tie.

Vern vs. Krypt vs. oNe – Well this match up was good to read and all the writers had 3 different styles of writing. Vern had the most polished verse out of every writer in this match. His story was good and was delivered nicely. oNe had a good story as well but GL felt like he couldn’t make up his mind about which style of writing he wanted to do while Krypt seemed have good focus on his vocab and more complex rhyming. This match-up was heavily slept on but Vern won this matchup followed by krypt & oNe with a tie.

    Destiny

    Chapter One: Still Waiting

It was humid that day so long ago
He stood there, lucid as I longed to say hello
But I was shy, voice low, spoken with an impediment
He smiled; everything else became irrelevant
Infatuation engulfs every fiber in me
Hoping he wouldn’t become tired of me
As I watched him, he started to focus on me
Quickly I turned away, wondering if he had noticed me
“So dreamy.” I thought as I slowly looked in his direction
Then there he was, hand held out, standing in my section
I grabbed it swiftly hoping to make a good impression
His hand was strong while mine was moist
Struggling to make eye contact and remain poise

His eyes had a warm spark, it felt energizing
A beautiful brown, dark yet mesmerizing
Realizing it could be our destiny to meet
As my heart cries, begging the rest of me to speak
Where do I go from here? Must I stand before I leap?
Physically I walk but emotionally I stand with paraplegic feet
As the years progress the closer we became
The sadness remained but he was remorseful of my pain
He smiled leaving happiness in my heart
Warmth began to grow that was remiss from the start
I wanted to show him my gratitude
But I was scared I would intrude
I prayed for confidence while spreading my arms
Cheeks blushed hoping he wouldn’t be alarmed
But he opened his arms and embraced me
Instantly overwhelmed by emotions that had chased me
Was this love or my desires that filled the void?
Closing my eyes, I imprinted this memory on a Polaroid
The hug lasted seconds but it felt like a lifetime
Wanting to kiss his cheek but decided to wait for the right time
Hoping he didn’t mind me texting him
I just thought that the sun rises and sets on him
He was special and life now felt perfect
All my sadness for this, was worth it

One Tuesday evening he walked me to my car
Gazed into the stars, assuring me he wouldn’t be far
Sudden intuition said that something felt different
Maybe I was wrong but his words seemed evident
He said he’d be here when I needed him
I stood there in shock but I still believed him
Crystal blue eyes began to glaze over then scream
Yet he smiled and soothed the somber stream
He hugged me tightly as I begged him not to leave
Hyperventilation kicks in, heart begins to bleed
His voice calmed me, allowing me to breathe
He turns and walks away as my soul grieves
“Please!” I yelled as he vanishes into the night
Body inert as the wind carries tears from my sight

I returned home and crawled into the shower
Water devoured me, as I reminisce about the past hour
“Why did he leave me?” I implored
Knees drop to the floor, thinking of him more
Feeling emptiness inside as I mindlessly stumble into bed
Staring out the window hoping his spirit wasn’t dead
So I waited for him constantly, to return
As the years pass, my heart still burns
God I miss him, he left me drifting through space
Wanting to search but refusing to leave this place
Still I wait, knowing he could ease my pain
Waiting patiently, staring out my window frame…

    Got Life?

    Madeline’s water broke…
My daughter spoke and slaughter woke,
A demon from a long spent slumber,
    Unleashing torment none could encumber,
It was this and a number of other reasons,
That made me smother her at the four seasons,
While Jane played with her rubber duck ducky,
And maybe that’s when luck struck me,
Allowing me to seem good in this hell,
All the time thinking…wouldn’t she yell?
Couldn’t she spell out the pieces of this?
As pacing increases my thesis exists,
So time has come to go and take hold,
Of life on that yellow brick road of fake gold,
Breaking the mold that society formed,
As I looked at the deity and anxiety stormed-
Right up inside of me, telling me that-
It was time to be, finally, shelling a gat,
How compelling is that…to grab life by the horns,
My wife, now with Christ and his thorns,
And though Jane’s too young to understand,
That I strung up this grand band stand-
So that she could live a life that I could never,
For I understood that this very endeavor-
Would part me and my dear Janie forever,
So during that storm and rainy weather,
    I’d kill Madeline…
I mean I had to and-
    My mind had been unraveling,
As gin coursed my veins, sin traveling-
Hand in hand towards my manic state,
Oh fickle fate, imagine the panic rate-
As my heart paces and races out of my skin,
And now the doubt starts to seep in,
Was my Jane really better off this way?
Why did my conscience often stray?
That’s when clarity finally hit home,
As I halted plans when I bit chrome,
It took the bitter taste of the gun’s barrel,
To make me see that there’ll-
Always be a way to provide for Jane,
And money without love can’t keep her sane,
She needs a mother and a father,
And so because I loved my daughter-
I put the gun away and welcome the sun today,
Take my daughter by the hand,
And guide her on her way.

Angels destroyed as the EArth becomes entangled with droids
With souls erased by holes in space making halos a void

This war has been started... as evil's pushed farther and forcing our market
To ecominically see... greed is needed much more in these hardships
Capital gains has become a natural religious policy
And to refrain from being one.... will leave you in the pits of poverty....
    Options are scarce....

Just for the possible dare of that infraction to comfort

    5. Matchups

    Championship
    1. Dicnyaeye 6-0
    2. Kryptikal 3-0

Prediction – In this matchup, Dic will finally face an opponent who has proven he can show up in matches. Krypt has been climbing the rankings and finally made his way into the championship match. I believe he will put up a fight but I think the veteran Dic will win this match and finally be able to claim the RSTL Title with a 3-0 win.

    Contender
    3. Got Life? 3-0
    4. ShadowWarriorfs 21-16

Prediction – Personally, I tired of predicting GL against myself so I will just say GL will win 2-1.

    5. WarMachine 4-2
    6. oNeiRiC 5-9

Prediction – This will be an interesting match, oNe has been become more consistent in his matches and is still trying to hone his skills more. He faces War this week who is coming off a victory. I believe War continues to roll and beat a still improving oNe, 3-0

    7. Keynote 0-1
    8. Kharn 0-0
    9. S. Issue 0-0

Prediction – Keynote has already been taken out of this match up so Kharn faces Issue. I don’t know who these writers are but I think Issue will win since he knows GL lol. 2-1.

    9. T.a.C-tical Interviews – No interview this week because T.a.C. is gay.

    10. Grinds My Gears – You know what really grinds my gears, people who are so fat that they begin to smell like the foods they eat. I was walking in the mall and this fat chick walked by and suddenly I smelled stale bacon. It was horrible and almost ruined bacon for me all together. Now, I’m not entirely sure that the doesn’t have packs of bacon stored in her fatty tissue or not but u would think they would hose themselves down before coming out into public, ruining peoples sense of smell. A bit of advice would be that if you are fat, chances are you smell like the stale version of some kind of food and you should be taking a shower at the very least, every 20-30 minutes. This is what really grinds me gears.

    11. Conclusion – This week, despite the lack of participation, was good for everyone showing up. Granted, the voting was piss poor and this needs to improve but I’m happy that everyone showed up and wrote very good stories. Nicely done guys and good luck on next weeks matches.
