    2. Recap

This week we had three no shows, which is an improvement from last week. Two of the four writers I thought would no show, did, with the addition of Brother by posting past the deadline. Voting this week as also been improved which pleases me. Lets breakdown the matchups starting with the no shows.

Got Life? – You dropped a hilarious no show verse. Although, you didn’t put any effort into your verse you still put together something that was slightly enjoyable. I wish you would’ve dropped a serious verse though.

Urizen – First off, I’m glad I was wrong about you no showing. Now, your verse was good. You have a lot of potential to write solid verses and this was a nice read. I thought your flow was good and the story was nice. I think you should separate the narrative from when your boss was speaking. It was kind of confusing. The rhyming was pretty good and the vocabulary was nice. Nicely done Urizen and I look forward to future verses from you.

ShadowWarriorfs – The general feeling about this verse is the need to increase the vocabulary and the removing of unneeded words to help increase the follow of story. Overall the readers thought it was a good verse and had potential to be great but the minor things kept it from being that.

Rocket vs. Scatterboxx – This match really set the stage for everyone in the league since we haven’t read anything from these guys in a long time. Both competitors did a lot of good in their verses. Rocket had a great flow with nice internal rhyming that helped your piece be enjoyable and consistent. Scatter told a very nice story that was very well delivered. Your rhyming was nice and your flow was on point. The readers seemed to enjoy the twists in your story as well. Overall this battle was nice to read but he readers felt the Scatter was the clear winner here as he takes a 4-2 win.

T.a.C vs. Lucifa – This battle was very interesting to read. Both writers had different ways of telling their story that were complete opposites of each other. T.a.C took a dark story and made it hilarious by painting a picture that the reader could easily see happening, while keeping the rhyming good. Your story was really hit or miss with the readers though. Lucifa told a story was very well told and consisted of excellent rhyming. His story was very easy to follow and was entertaining to everyone who read it. Overall the readers felt strongly that Lucifa took this with ease but felt T.a.C has a lot of potential to be great by working out a few kinks. Lucifa wins T.a.C 3-1.

Pent uP vs. ErykahCaine – This was a very good and even match-up. Both writers are very descriptive in their writings. EC told an interesting story that displayed excellent wordplay and seem very poetic in a sense. The readers felt the story itself was hit or miss though. Still, you had great mechanics that are top notch in this league. Pent uP, on the other hand, told a story was very easy to read and was enjoyable. You also have a poetic swag to your writing and the fact that it was very descriptive intrigued the readers. Overall a very good battle to read, however, the readers enjoyed Pent uP’s verse better due to the story in a 2-1 victory.

Born Deaf vs. Cereal_Killer – This was a good match-up. BD is the defending champ and is facing the number one contender, CK. Both had strong verses and seem to be even in the mechanics aspect of things. However, this match-up came down to whose story the reader liked more. CK story was good but seemed to drag at times which caused the reader to lose interest at times, although the story was still good. BD, on the other hand, had a solid story that was enjoyable to read as well as nice and smooth. This allowed BD to retain his title with a 3-0 shutout win.

Second Hand Smoke: “You Can Have Her, As Soon As School Lets Out”

“Why such a drag” she asks. My will to answer is scarce
While she takes a drag of my cancerous heart, hairs
Play their part, in the nooks of her fingers, as she bathes me
And I play me, in this scene crooked from the film Halloween
A hollow queen, bathing the remains of an amputee,
While it’s morbid to talk this way, since all limbs are intact
I’m a prisoner, can’t walk away, slap her face, so here I sat
Bathing between bed and john, before long, I am pawned
Off for head and jawns, say my neck is strong, broken in at home
Heck, only if my spine went along, must have a broken back bone
And papa’s broke so the backup plan requires me to bone,
I’ve got an empire worth of woes for every single watt,
“penny for your thoughts” He says, when it’s more like “$50 for your twat”
    “What do you wanna know”

He asks, “Why Simone”, is STOP never on the back of don’t
You react with No’s, as you mask your moans, in aching woes
When we are in the act, the throes, and you shake to the bone
Crave me so, then blaze my soul in a deep sea of molten No’s
In doses that burn, burn is the closest slur for this wordless light
“Worthless lights!” all our days forced to night, his current plight
More of a wish, for a switch to unzip tight jeans and seal moms’ lips
To unclip worn buttons of moral fabric, undress me and sin
And since I am young and virgin, it heightens his senses, & bids
Frightens my siblings, in compassion, no, they are envious
My mother hands me over to, palms and heart like sunflowers,
Open, without petals, without shelter, they are pimps, cowards
Father saunters in from work, you call it “the bar or saloon”
Walks up stairs to his room, squeak of bed springs, dropping shoes
His cell rings, and he resumes “head’s $50, her school lets out at 2”
Streams of the moon flood windows, drown his unshaven face
2 Hours past noon in this room, pain engraves this place
365 days & hands have come to pass and age my frame
I’ve learned to behave, die as I sleep and sleep when I rise
Sleep for the lights, peek at the mirror, hair comb and rake it
Taken back, dads mouth spitting out tacks, without love nor hatred
“You can have her, at 2, as soon as school lets out” bell rings
Kids bail out; yell out, “Time to go home” and My shell in sync
With time, brings a hard exterior, dead in the love department
Picking straws for first kick, to sniffing straws in glove compartments
Split them open to taste a familiar, bitter residue, when they reach the end
Numbness in mouth, and a craving for more and more Percodans
How far can they take me, because right now I feel too much, I
Concealed in blush, and a thrill to fuck, shrill for schmucks a la Lucy Thai
Homework loosely lies around my room; they ask “Who’s Simone Dubai”
She’s my twin sister who died, they ask how, and I reply Suicide
They ask how, and I say overdose, then she shot herself, a .45
And as shock bails to eyes, I add, in the chest, so they’d realize
Her face wasn’t gone, just her heart laid to rest, who cares, he came, he’s gone
Day 366 never arrives, I’ll forever be 9 for the remainder of life
Though I’ve paid for the lights, three fold; I’m still in the dead of night
In my head I unite with God, Death, whatever you’d like to call it
And as the calls quit, my pops split, sisters in tow, rarely visit
Phone number, unlisted, and my heart restricted, no vacancies
With blankets, seas of the black and dangerous steam
That careens, Love don’t live here anymore, you know
But I always leave a light on so it seems someone’s home
& always have a smoke when dining on my blackened filet of soul
Partially pout so, remnants of hearts previous tenants can fly
And attack the sky, before ravaging some other innocent passer-by

    She Said...
come toward the delay of modern day mortem decay.

Up stairs in the course of a maze - where no gun holsters are raised,
everyone's warm and they've ate and have conformed to relate
cultures and their hate whether they're white gay foreign or straight
due to conformist mistakes born in the wake of their lorn for the state.
Behind doors and their chains where sleeping pills are poured into brains
so the force of their strength can storm over faith
Where torment's the tail as they're nose diving with quotient to fail.
Ordinance hails the mead and the next morning's their grail-
swashbuckling and slop suffering over the gorge of their waves:
to get over the hump they suffer till lunch comes in the form of a bale.

Outside's war is constraint - a morbid display of naked falsity in reach
where problems children leave tend to draw the city fiends
enthralled in living free without thought of other possibilities.
    It's all for grit to clean, rinse and call responsibility;
A constant dizzying applause for appalling villainy
of altered, quick-end schemes that consult their busy needs
while daunting history with pompous misery adults consider "means."
They brawl consistently for the right to haul our liberties,
and ball a fist, it seems, to catapult the fiscal dream
into vaults of gifts and cream until they flaunt a victory -
but the purpose and worth of currency served is a cosmic mystery
that God or Allah probably solved when they sought a glimpse beneath.

Their cause was trickery; their cost was filthy feet trailing the slope
with danger afloat as ghastly as angels in cloaks.
The failure these folks barely composed carried compost
to bury the ghosts that ordered halos revoked
They tailored the oaths as assailants we know
for the prevalence of hope - but they're faker than most.
the chain link of gold restraints on our souls
come from creative loopholes and affidavit control
The world is a tool lurking with ghouls shaking their scrolls
toward vehemency that we dont see while defacing the mold

    So come towards the delay,
    of modern day mortem decay
or obtain a shield for the soul and the brain

    Unpleasant Surprise
It over, after this I finally get my wish
Of every night giving her a good night kiss
She looks at me like a stranger, because I’m gone too much
I was addicted to danger, got high of the rush
Blood splatter, dead eyes and the screams of pain
Air born mind matter, I was deemed insane
Obsessed with death and handing it out
Animals are ok, but humans is what it’s all about
That trickle down my spine, that tingle in my mind
That sensation is nowhere else to find
But her birth was a gift and a curse, it gave the name home its worth
Her image wouldn’t disperse and it kept getting worse
So I decided to stop a topic they wouldn’t drop
Unhappy with the end of the cream of the crop
Had to do 5 marks to clear my request
High profile ones, so they wanted the best
    A pope, a senator, a king and a queen
I’m on my way to the last marks final scene
I receive the file of who I need to hit
An hour before the throat needs to be slit
I enter the room in which I need to be
There he sits my boss, his look still crazy
Now before every hit I must agree to the terms
But never has he told me them this is a wrong turn
The mood seems bad filled with tension and rage
He looks at me as he picks up a single page
Rule 1. If you agree to take this hit, you cannot forfeit
Rule 2. After their death their residence must be lit
Rule 3. If you quit you commit suicide, and there is no possible override
Rule 4. Any witnesses must be beat and tied,
and placed in the room in which the mark died
Rule 5. If caught, you don’t need to stay alive
Now do you agree with the terms laid before you?
I look at him as if there is anything else I can do
As soon as Yes leaves my mouth, he throws the files at my feet
I pick them up, and before I look my boss again starts to speak
Now if you open that, you understand there is no way back
I say I do and as I glance my soul suddenly cracks
What’s the meaning of this explain yourself you know what don’t bother
There is NO FUCKING way I’m killing my daughter
He slowly says: you accepted there is nowhere for you to turn
Either she dies or you forfeit and your entire family will burn
Your death is the only way out either that, or she must go
Decide fast cause in an hour, the house will blow

I killed my daughter, and my wife because she was home
Now they have no leverage and I am all alone
I refuse to let them have her so I did it my way
They would have haunted me forever this is the right way
Now they will all burn from the boss down to peons
In such a way they will tell my tale for eons

    5. Matchups

    CHAMPIONSHIP
    C. Born Deaf 6-0
    2. Pent uP 3-0

Prediction – This will be an excellent match-up and has Battle of the Week written all over it. BD has successfully defended his title against CK last week but has his hands full this week. Pent uP is an up and coming star that is coming off a victory against EC. Both writers are extremely talented and this battle can go either way. I will have to give this to the Champ. BD win in a 4-3 win.

    CONTENDERSHIP
    3. Lucifa 9-6
    4. ShadowWarriorfs 10-11

Prediction – Shadow is coming off no show win while Lucifa defeated T.a.C the week before. Both competitors are gifted and have improved greatly over the weeks. I think Lucifa will win this with a slightly more polished verse.

    5. Got Life? 1-0
    6. Scatterboxx 1-0

Prediction – Scatter posted a solid verse last week and surprised me with his level of talent. GL?, on the other hand, posted a quick no show verse. Based on past verses from GL, I believe he will win this matchup in a 4-2 win.

    7. Urizen 2-0
    8. ErykahCaine 8-2

Predictions – Urizen posted a nice verse last week despite being no showed. He seems to have talent but needs to work on some of his mechanics. The problem he’ll face this week is EC, who is stewing over her lose last week. EC is a dangerous opponent and will get the win here, 4-0.

    9. T.a.C 3-3
    10. Brother_Edward 0-1

Prediction – BE posted a no show verse while T.a.C posted a hilarious verse. T.a.C needs to work on his mechanics but judging by what I’ve seen from T.a.C and BE, T.a.C will win this match-up, 4-3.

    11. rocket 0-1
    12. profitt55 0-0
    13. GuWhok J 0-0

Prediction – Rocket did well last week, having a close match-up with Scatter. He is in a three way with Profit and Gu. Profit will be a serious competitor in this match-up and I predict Gu to no show. I think Profit will win this 3-1-0.

    8. Grinds My Gears – You know what really grinds my gear, people driving too slow in the passing lane. Seriously, does no one know what this lane is for? In order to pass someone, one must first be going faster then the cars in the other lane. So tell me how in the world you intend on passing a car if your speed is equal to or less than that car? This is the most infuriating aspect of driving. If you’re scared of driving then get off the road. If you can’t see out your car, don’t drive. Women, stop driving big cars that you can control and stop doing your make-up while driving. It comes down to this, if you are going to drive, drive correctly and don’t hold up other drivers because you’re to retarded to drive in a straight line down the road. This is what grinds my gears this week.

    9. Conclusion – This weeks magazine is slightly lower in quality since there where no participation this week. Once again I am open to suggestions for magazine improvements but someone needs to speak up. Good luck to all this week in their match-ups.

pent is about as established as you get.

he's in the top 10 of wins all time.
he modded this league several times.
    definitely not a new face.

and inf better give me a reason to write as facing dilapidated homosexuals like brother_whoeverthefuck isn't going to produce more than slight ideas in jotted form from me.
