    1. Introduction

Welcome to week 14 of the RSTL league. We had quite of few no shows. Those group of pussies I won’t mention by name. Also, Coup lent a helping hand this week and threw in his predictions for this week. I look forward to Got Life vs Cigma and the Champ match should be exciting as well. Now let us get into how week 13 went.

    2. Recap

    by NG

    champ match
    ShadowWarriorfs Vs Coup d'etat

    - what a good match up here. two completely different style that held their own very strong. each writer had different issues with the mechs of it. and it obviously was hard for the voters to pick a clear cut winner. I can see why this one ended in a tie.

    Contender
    Tac Vs MK

    - wow this one took me by surprise. Tac wrote a great verse on some Saw type shit, which I thought was really well done. A great improvement in my opinion. Where as MK I thought fell short on the rhyme scheme and mechanics. Overall Tac won this match quite easily which I never would have anticipated. good job tac.

    Got life? Vs Cereal Killer

    - both really great writers. I was impressed with both verses, but once again Got Life? showed us why he is one of the all time greats. a killer verse by both, however imo GL just murdered this one. nice job.

    Lyricalpriest Vs Cigma

    - as said in the battle itself LP has improved ten fold to how he was writing when he first entered the league. his story was fluid for the most part and was quite smart in alot of aspects. cigma is such a ninja, lol. HE did a great job this week whilst proving that you don't need 20 syllable bars to drive a point across. Great verse, very clever and outstanding vocab. Cigma held his own to take the win. close match, good battle fellas.

    Crookcity Vs Omega man

    - Pretty good battle here. both have a good grasp of mechanics, and both do quite well in telling a story, I think this came down to mechanics, and vocab which omega man topped out on. Overall a really good battle, and I think this would be much closer later on in the league. I see these two being really great competitors, and doing good things for the league. Great work to both writers.

One granule left, one moment of breath to own in life inside a camel cigarette
I inhale and dangle through debt to death I owe yet I handle with respect
    My tombstone reflects my face
As my grave projects my past in a pasture of regret
Green as the seas as calm as the breeze
I dry reach laughter because I’m not dead
    Yet
My heart it bleeds clots that weave rotting sleeves of forgotten peace
Please decease mocking me and my beliefs
For karma’s alarmed and its plot has breach
    My mind
I heave inside a dream that this demon denies the trouble bestowed
    As a couple we’d grown
Though I see that love can brunt and burst the bubble you blow
This atomic smoke cloud vomits hope out through chronic depression
Once my senses broke down mentions of growth had flown to honest regression
A peasant whom chokes now on existence
    So vicious I’m scorned
See I’m morning her resistance forced from the incision I formed
Crazed in self-pity, shitty and enslaved gritting my teeth as I bathe
Under a golden skyline I am holding tight my belief I am sane
Murder of course short circuits and works my worth into the dirt
Hurt her I purge forth cursing the fact it was never my intent at first
The birth of bewilderment had earthed my field of dreams
To kill at will I reach inside my morals to shield the screams
I feel pain, uneased, deranged and fraying at the seems
Believing that the reality is I’m decaying beneath the scene
    Looking for lost Love
Like it was going out of fashion
Our two hearts beat this chemical reaction
Acting on instincts together for months as we clung to a physical attraction
Though she was persistent, urging a change
Remaking our future day by day
    So beautiful and soothing
    Her words did amuse me
Yet I still played it safe
I walked on eggshells as her head swelled now forget about her ego
She propelled with confidence and could easily convince any and all people
    Some may call it evil
Why did she want to leave me and my bleeding heart as I’d scar
Flesh off her chest on our honeymoon to start off our path
She lies on our bed bleed out as the sheets run red
The knife you’ll find beside her head whilst I watch the sun rest
You see there is no answer correct enough to pretend in love
I was in it ‘til the end as fifteen minutes before we had extend with hugs
Sex and intimacy, the sweet scent of sweat while so sexually bent
High off of pheromones through the terror dome because we’re mentally set
Our bodies now close like my shaft is a bow and this cupid’s exposed
As on this remote island she had proposed a pact once LUPUS aroused
    She was dying
    One month to live
One moment that’s slipped into an existence of pain
I agreed and would heed each step until I had to leave my wrist wrenched n stained
I held the blade to the vein as it pulsated like a junkie near beige
But I flunked it unable to shave and break through the afterlife to embrace
    My babe
My girl whom I couldn’t save now as her image burns my iris
I’m fighting for forgiveness but God won’t listen
    I just can’t turn righteous
The question is not will I kill myself it’s whether the Devil awaits my move huh
    But I figure
    You can’t change the past
Just ruin the present by worrying about the future

    ..
So I sit in awe for the last grain of sand to fall

    ..

    vs

    Got Life?
Dylan sat silent enthralled by the end all, be all,
In the back, a mindless flick staring Steven Segal,
His step father watching, eating some TV dinner,
Stomach bulging, that gluttonous greedy sinner,
With some barbeque sauce and beer on his shirt,
Such an unsettling sight that drove Dylan berserk,
Although he kept it inside letting the anger collide,
With his spirit, trapped in a manger he lied,
Telling his mother, nothings wrong, don’t worry,
Knowing she’ll work late, that she won’t hurry,
Leaving him free with the depth of his thoughts,
This was his pinnacle, he’d wept with the lots,
But he’d weep no longer, he’d grown far stronger,
Overcoming his fears, Dylan was a war monger,
With the utter disdain for this man, no…this stain,
On the tree of his family after his father was slain,
Indeed, he had to piece together a real device,
Writing a symphony entitled “I Sacrifice”.

He lathered his hands cleansing them with soap,
Finally ready he takes the metallic corded rope,
Walking into the room, moving forward he chokes-
The man before him, Dylan’s bitter heart elopes,
All that’s left is a melody, a peaceful serenity,
Now working to remove any traceable identity,
Meticulously removing the meat of Jim’s bones,
The sky a grey contrast creating the dark tones-
That continued to fuel this fire, as he’d conspire,
To drag the hefty bags with flesh to those dire,
In truth the wolves loved every single scrap,
Tearing through ligaments, appreciating the trap,
Which was ever so rigorously devised,
From a boy, now a man, that truly despised,
The very core of what’s left of his step father,
Lost was him feeling inept, lost was his bother,
He was free to conduct his symphony,
Speaking to himself... “I’ll never miss a key.”

He kept true to this promise, a man of his word,
Running rampant to the voice that he heard,
Inside the pit of his soul, within his very mind,
As he spent his time to chisel and grind,
Every single bone from the remains before him,
Into piano keys and a quite unique décor trim,
So each key that he stroked evoked his passion,
To remove his step father and finally fashion,
A piano based on a grand divine design,
Playing as mom came home, he felt serpentine,
And while unhinged he never jerked when asked,
Why he now smiled, a smile he had kept masked-
    For what seems like ages,
He shrugged, leaving the note off the pages,
Although there was a note tacked to the fridge,
    It read “I can’t stand it…
I’ve had enough of you and your kid”.

Mom cried that night, but moved on quickly,
Soothed by the melody that Dylan played swiftly,
He always knew what notes would soothe her,
Making sure no one would use and abuse her,
He was her guardian, though slightly obsessed,
His life became a symphony entitled,
    “Justice is Best.”

Meet Wendy Rayne...middle aged with no middle name
she felt the wind and rain sitting at the window pane
from a widows pain her brittle frame begins sweating
then in six seconds a little flame.. the wicks presence
flickers across the walls it crawls within the halls
of a flawed imigination...it's tall but then it falls...
esteem....it seems...she was appauld but got involved
with kings and queens...this isn't all but when it's solved
she's small look at her walking through and talking to em acting bitter
she ran away from her problems...you know the average quitter
im feeling that'll hit her before the mad hatter enter's
it's a butterfly effect but she talks to a catepillar
see Alice she had a sister...you know the story as i do
but on the other hand there's another story....the bible
it's more than forming a light bulb...it's more a war of disciples
who cover up the truth..it's sort of more of a cycle
    it's a horrible eyeful...oppurtunity knocked
so wendy went into panic and to the door with a rifle

    6. Predictions –

    [Championship] Champion 1. ShadowWarriorfs vs. 2. Coup d’etat vs. 3. T.a.C

NG: This will be a wicked match no doubt. Each writer has their strong points but in this match I see it going to shadow, tac, then coup. I dunno though this could go to either of em, but I gotta make a choice so yeah.

Shadow: I’m winning this. Coup and T.a.C should just sit on the side lines!

Coup: Each writer here in this odd three way Champ match are contenders in their own right. Shad will bring a story showcasing details of his craft, TaC will bring a nice multi laden thriller. Coup's gonna go down in infamy this week. I got this one in supreme command. No questions asked. In convincing fashion.

[Contender] 4. Got Life? Vs. 5. Cigma

NG: Got Life? can be a fierce competitor when he really tries. Given that he has won so many champ matches Cigma will have his work cut out for him. But IAH I think got life will take this due to Cigma writing abstract verses which sometimes can go over the readers heads.

Shadow: This will be BOTW in my honest opinion and not just because a couple of big name writers are in this match. GL is one the best at story development while Cigma reigns supreme with emotional, well thought out stories. This will come down to sheer enjoyment and I believe GL will win this.

Coup: Gotlife? has shown that he can back up his talk with some emotional anecdotes of life--showing a nice rhythm of sorts supported by engaging story lines. If not this week, well, he will still insult you and you're just gonna have to live with it.

Cigma is known for is poetic flairs and his insightful critiques. To me, his elaborate feedback lends itself to a very knowledgeable inkling tipped in writing.

This will come down to blows and I think GL? will walk this week the victor, but not after sustaining hard jabs from Cigma--black eyes might account for tensions this match will muster.

    6. HeartCloaker Vs. 7. The omega man

NG: Both of these writers are really skilled, however I have not seen a whole lot from them but I'ma say that Heartcloaker takes this by 1 vote.
Shadow: This will be interesting and I believe the question here will come down to which of these writers will come up with something enjoyable. I believe that Omega will heed the warnings from last weeks verse and come out the victor here.

Coup: I've seen Omega drop some impressive poetic verses, exploding from the seems in flow and in thought out rhyme mechanics. And I expect it again this week.

HeartCloaker has a lot to prove to the RSTL. His rather humble verse was no showed last week but it did foreshadow what he is capable of.

If he does not tie up loose ends and come clean Omega already has this.

    Omega will get the W.

    8. Vern Acular Vs. 9. MurderousKeys

NG: Vern droped a gem last week with only a few short bars, really impressive. MK has done his share of winning and I think he's still hungry for top spot. However I think Vern brings a breath of fresh air to the league and he might take this one. not a landslide but I think he'll take this one.
Shadow: I think this will be an interesting match up but I think this may come down to how motivated MK is to write. When he takes his time to write his story, he is very hard to beat. Otherwise his story are lackluster and boring. Vern usually comes with fire nonstop and I believe he will get the win due to MK’s lack of trying

    Coup:

    10. Cereal Killer vs. 11. Crook City Vs. 12. ikon211

NG: Another 3 way, which is going to be a decent battle, crook is pretty decent as well as ikon and CK, however I think CK will take this one followed by crook then ikon.

Shadow: This will come down to how well ikon improved during his off week. With him no showing last week, one would think that he might hone his skills. I believe that he will stay where he is and I don’t see Crook being much of a match for CK. CK will win this with ease.

Coup: Crook city took a tough loss last week in a very close battle. His verses are bold and underestimated. This nigga can hang with anyone.

Ikon is coming off a no show (pussy) and should be rested. He can drop shit that leaves your head hurt...in a good way. If he untangles his thoughts, and straightens out his ideas he will be one to not take lightly.

    8. RM Newspaper Article -
8a. Rumors – There has been several issues with someone hacking into Nam’s account and deleting posts. This has left RM in a realm of confusion and boredom. There is a rumor going around that the hacker is actually Jeff. This stems from Jeff coming to realize that some people have no life outside of RM. He hopes this will help stimulate out door activities. However, this could bring about a series of suicides based on the fact that too many people rely on this place. So Jeff, when you get the site working and you have a few less posters, it’s likely do to that reason. That is all.

8b. Sports –This week in the NFL, the Vikings fired head coach Brad Childress and the Denver Broncos fired their coach as well. This should have happens a long time ago. It appears the Vikings are following in the Cowboy’s steps in hoping this change will bring the team some success. In the predictions last week I was 11-5, upping my season total to 96-63. Here are this week’s picks.

    8G. NG’s Interview –

Well here we are with another edition of the RSTL mag. This week I'm happy to be interviewing one of the best writers the league has had in a long time. He's unique, he's insightful and very creative with his written work. Welcome Nu'maaN.

Hey dude, how's the world through the eyes of Nu'?

    - I actually have only one eye left, i took one out as gang initiation for the somali pirates.

Without re-hashing old questions from previous interviews, can you tell us something about you that we don't know?

    - I think i already did, in answering the first question.

What do you do for a living?

    - graphic designer, but thinking about a career change. i would like to test out mattresses and get paid to sleep.

I've noticed over the weeks you like to write about darker topics..

    - this spawned from the year i took off and went to pakistan, it was just me for an entire year so it was only right that the darkest of thoughts crept in and planted seeds in my brain. I've been told to use my vocab to talk about more pleasant topics, but it's not the same.

That being said, is there a topic you've always wanted to touch but haven't?

    - i think i've covered most of what i wanted to write about in rstl alone, but i always wanted to write about the current depressive state of islam.

How did you get into writing verses, etc?

    - i think jedi mind tricks made me want to write, violent by design was the album. i made an album, almost made a second one but thought against it.

You're quite insightful. Almost in such a way one would think you are much older than you are, What makes you tick?

    - traffic lights. i fucking hate them. just goes to show how we are enslaved by technology.

In fact, how old are you?

    - Twenty six.

I see you came back to the league for Nom, and you did exactly that. Was there a little rivalry from a previous season going on we should know about?

    - yeah, he was the only one alongside gL who ever beat me. but with gL it was close, whereas nom cleaned me up and didn't even bother to look back at what he had done. that faggot had it coming. in his face. so i tried again, and i failed again. nom single handedly made me quit rstl. fuck you very much, if you're reading this.

Where abouts do you currently reside at?

    - melbourne, downunder.

Whats the hip hop scene like there?

    - australian hip hop in general sucks dick, bar a few rappers. lupe is a big hit down here though, mainly because of the skating aspect. but you already know the type of music i enjoy, so we have a good idea of what's gimey, raw, etc.

If it was the end of the world, and you could only have one of your possesions, what would it be?

    - my penis. self gratification using imagination until the end of days.

How long have you been writing for?

    - On and off since early 2000. mostly off though.

What has influenced you to get into hip hop?

    - The place i grew up in, and nas's represent. it was alot better than michael jackson, peter andre (lol), and gloria estefan songs.

    Are you a religious man?

    - No. i know my faith, and it's a struggle. and i hate the term religious, i hate all those labels. i'd say i'm a god conscious man.

If you could form an all star RSTL league who would it include? Be it members from old or present.

    - Nom, gl, and pain. so we could be called the awesome foursome. you could be sub, for when we create the five deadly venoms.

Most improved writer in the league in your opinion?

    - Shadow, by a long margin.

Being as insightful as you are, do you have a favorite quote you'd like to share, or words to live by?

    - God gives and forgives, humans get and forget.

Nu'maaN, I'd like to thank you for your time, and letting us peek into your world for a short time.

    - All good, you fucking perv.

    Take it easy bruh.

    - I'd prefer taking it hard, no homo.

8I. Ask Shadow a Question – Remember, if you want to ask Shadow a question, PM him your question.

Q: Shadow, What do you think about Lyrical Priest and his actions as of late?

A: Well I’d like to begin by saying that LP was a good guy for the league and always seemed to write with passion and just for the sheer enjoyment. Now, he has developed an undeserved ego trip that is just retarded. I can understand his disappointment with not winning but to throw a bitch fit instead of looking at your own material and even heed the advice of others makes it impossible for him to elevate. I wonder if he is having issues in his personal life because he has taken on a new personality and I find it rather boring. His pitiful actions have lowered him to spamming the league with his pointless bickering only gives the impression that you are either 12 years old or a self-absorbed faggot. I personally think all of the above. To close I offer this advice to LP and the league. Lp, you need to grow up. You limit yourself when you welcome arrogance into your life and personally, it doesn’t suit you. To the league, when dealing with Lp’s new personality remember these words, “Never argue with the stupid, for they will dumb you down to their level then beat you with experience.”

    9. Conclusion – This was an interesting week following a week of crisis. I want to thank everyone for pushing through with their stories and voting. I would also like to thank NG and Coup for their help with the magazine this week. Good luck to everyone this week!

Adding Coup to the predictions was a welcome surprise.

Babe of the week's contours are mighty fine.

Cool interview with Nu thank you, that dude has depth. It's good to see more of who
people are. Slave to technology pretty much...traffic lights with cameras are demonic.

    Ahh...

here's a line from my verse so far.

congrats to CK for verse of the week in a loss x_x.

Niggas need to stop electing people for cutesy self-improvement.

Bar none, there wasn't a verse last week that would have beaten mine.

    /megalomania.
