you have to understand also that in terms of actual mma fights machida isnt exactly a VET either. they have brought him alone slowly, he adapted his style to mma style and more specifically ufc's and there is a curve involved

forever people were like 'who is lyoto machida?' even when dude was 3-0 with a win over franklin... his quality of opponents didnt slack much

he is learning the game even still and being less boring usually comes with that

Machida is much better now than when he fought BJ and Franklin, just like Fedor is now when comparing to him beating Arona.

You have to realise that some fighters evolve and Machida has done, he was actually more aggressive in those days but switched his style up a bit, and was a lot more patient. In that time he has learnt a lot, improved a lot and now has 2 parts to his game, both defensive and offensive, he has also improved his strength and power, which helps him now, and is probably more accurate and patient than he used to be. He is still evolving.

silva and machida arent going to fight. mark my words

2005 pool is too deep anyway to care about the MW champ moving up. let silva solidify his legacy in the sport and then move on to new challenges. you cant just vacate a motherfucker from a weight class because hes that good.

Just kinda playing devil's advocate here. If that last left connects with Evans' head or somewhere else, as opposed to right there between his neck and shoulder, does it do the same damage? I've watched the knockout quite a few times and it looks to me thats where it lands. Once again just playing devil's advocate and throwing out ideas.

The whole "you're new to MMA, TUF n00b!" insult is so fucking stupid. Jesus Christ.

TUF is an annoying show and the tattoo'd tapout wearing douches are almost as bad as the elitists that think the Tank Abbott days were tops.
