You didn't ask a coherent question.

Why should you vote for Ron Paul? He's the only honest candidate out of republicans and democrats. He foresaw the housing bubble crash, warned us about Freddie and Fannie Mac, wants to bring our troops home, he is for leaving decriminalization of drugs to the states, if you want real health care reform he is an actual doctor who knows more about the industry than an other candidate, he wants to create a proper business climate for creating jobs rather than trying to subsidize our way out of a recession, he is against corporate welfare, he is against bailouts...

    I could keep going

His support has been pretty constant, when Newt was on top and drowned to the bottom his support was relatively stagnant, when Romney dove we saw the same thing, etc...

I think the main things that keep people from supporting Ron Paul are war hawks, special interest groups, pro-welfare state people, and the desperate republicans who want a W rather than a good leader. That could be a matter of pragmatism or it could be influence from the media.

The answer is different from person to person, but those are the main culprits.

ron paul has some good ideas, lets ignore his bad ones for a moment

from what i understand his good ideas arent shared by other candidates

so thats why i like him. Not saying hes the best, but i do think his good ideas are the best.

i have mixed feelings about him

i don't think he's quite so honest and principled as his supporters make out. the newsletter thing shows that clearly enough, that he's a politician just like the rest of them.

i also find it hard to believe he could tackle the military empire in the way he says he wants to, but he might at least manage to bring the troops home. and i do respect his campaigns to audit the fed, though i am admittedly ignorant towards monetary policy and whether or not dismantling the fed is even a viable (or smart) option.

but in terms of his broader economic ideology: his goal is (seemingly) a low flat tax rate and a very limited govt. a complete dismantling of FDR styled socialism in the united states.

this undoubtedly is very appealing to the rich. but what of the rest of us? rich people have always and will always support the policies that benefit them the most. why would or should the poor and middle class behave any differently? a lot of the arguments for doing so seem to me to either be veiled in false promise (trickle down economics) or wrapped in bourgeoisie 'morality' (individual responsibility, work ethic, etc.) but ultimately i see the situation as a negotiation table where one side is very swiftly out maneuvering the other.

so his economic ideology leaves me very reluctant to offer him my support

that said, it would be interesting to watch him take office for the simple fact that he is an outsider and neither side's 'establishment' wants him. the media's cold shoulder towards him despite any progress his campaign makes has made this much abundantly clear. that alone is almost enough to get me to vote for him.

basically our government has been failing.. ever since bush stepped into office.. but it was set up that way by the dem's before bush came into office.. media doesn't reveal this truth, you can't google this, you have to follow politics long enough to see this. Ron Paul is the only one running that has a chance to save us from our selves.. he's not against welfare neither btw, he's against the idea that we can spend trillions of dollars on welfare war etc.. that's not helping our nation. we need the constitution to be restored and liberty be released upon the U.S. other-wise we won't be able to help other nations eventually b/.c it's becoming almost impossible to help our selves.. media has black listed him b/c of what he stands for, he's actaully doing pretty good in the polls and if you got a candidate that's staying above 11% on all caucuses that's something to notice. it's not over yet, and he's the only one with a clean back ground he's not a lobbiest or a private sector gangster.. he's a Dr. an ex Veteran.. a true libertarian .. watch this vid and please let me know what you think......

the american government was established for the rich to become richer.

the premise of rights and freedoms is a modern ideology that has become adopted to the poor and permitted the development of the middle-class.

dont be fooled - when the rich broke away from the Queen they had no intention of giving their monies in tax but became the tax collectors in place of the Queen.

while others fought for freedom, they had freedom and fought for wealth. In the minds of the wealthy, the land was theirs to rule and freedom was always theirs. in my opinion it is why those who are the most arrogant and shifty rule. Title, position and society have unspoken rules, while others believe all are govern by the same writ of law. I guess the saying, we all arent cut from the same cloth, or something like that.

One either rules with power or without. it is that simple.

Interesting? Save us from ourselves. I think that was quite a powereful saying in itself.

I agree insofar as he seems to be a straight up guy, and if you have ever watched sesame street "one of these things just dont belong"....

he isnt an elitist. he is cut from the cloth of middle class?

for some people to gaze upon the Egyptian king in ancient history was to stare into the Sun.

to associate with a "WINNER" even if that person in without moral, ethic, principle, character - one is a "WINNER". Slave of a mentality.

maybe its just me, but i dont understand why the only person that is expected to be truthful and honest is a preacher.

    Ron Paul for Preacher.
