Get out coached in every single important game, get a contract extension.

The Bears organization is a fucking joke.

QB's in important games under Lovie Smith:

    Rex Grossman

    Jay Cutler

The fact that he took both of those losers further than they will ever go in their careers without him says more than enough.

Lovie the best coach Bears have had since Ditka, and without Buddy Ryan it's very possible Ditka would be ringless. But the question is: Who would you rather have? If we had switched coaches, Cutler would have to learn another system. Continuity is so important and Cutler needs to play with the same system for a few seasons to really evaluate him. Now Lovie is signed thru 2013 along with his coaches and Angelo, as well.

I like the move a lot.

I don't know if continuity is good for Jay when that system is Martz's 7 step "please kill my quarterback" drop system. If I were a qb I would refuse to play in it. There is a reason why no other coach wanted Martz to be his OC.

Yeah, the Bears can't find a decent QB to save their lives.

Kevin Kolb will be on the market.

Jay Cutler is a very good QB and considering what he was up against this year, he took a big step forward. We gave up the most sacks in the NFL, we have no go-to WR, and an OC that half the time didn't regard Jay's health one iota.

As far as Martz' offense, that's true. But he drastically reduced the dropbacks as the season progressed. We started running the ball better and relieved some of the pressure on Jay. QB's have their greatest years in Martz' system, this is basically fact. We upgrade the line this offseason and barring a lockout, Jay will have a significantly better year this year.

There is absolutely no need for a change at QB.
