It did feel like an intermezzo. And it didn't really reveal anything we didn't already suspect. What do you think of Daniel now? And his, er... allegiances?

What do you think of Americans acting as English characters?

Honestly, it's not the same thing as what you're hinting at... Have you ever asked a French person for their reaction to the film Chocolat? A good movie... but none of the actors were French in their mannerisms... and that does destroy the realism for a Frenchie. Sayid is still a good character, just not much of an Iraqi.

hmm... Ok. I see what you're saying and I don't disagree.

Yeah, that threw me for a loop... What was the point of all that?? I mean we already knew that Sun's father is an ass...

awww, yeah... Jin is one of the most dynamic characters on the show and it's so sad... and after he forgave Sun.

    oh, and MICHAEL!!!!

Yeah, for one, both theories are too simple to work for Lost.

Still like him. It's impossible to tell if his, er... allegiances are good or bad yet.

I've got no problem with it. Spike and Wesley on Buffy were both played by Americans, and they were two of the best actors/characters.

Again something that a lot of British people complain about, but they've been strangely silent of the recent British invasion of American programmes and films...

I wasn't comparing a couple of words to a whole culture, but people are sometimes... precious (?) when it comes to their own cultures.

    grrrrrrrrrrr...

    And yes, I agree.

    Yes.

I think it's a question of representation... If British actors consistently miss out on British roles (despite their talent) to established American actors, it's understandable that the British public would hate it. And that does happen a lot more than the converse. If parts were given based on talent 100% of the time, I don't think it would be an issue. This comes up all the time on imdb...

Oh. Well, if that is all you meant, I feel kinda stupid. And yes, that's where I'm coming from... even though I'm not Iraqi.

btw: This is not something I care about particularly.

Filled with clear pop instead of water... That would be meaner.

    I'm sooooo telling.

You assholes. i feel so left out, and it would take too much time and effort now to hit up on any points already made. cocksuckers the lot of you.

The IMDB Theory is probably the most logically convincing and complex theory i've read. one of my theories was that the island was somehow Lost in prehistoric time(back in season 2 i believe, before we knew that the 'monster' was a smoke entity of some sort and not a dinosaur)

yea, that episode was somewhat disappointing....the fact that i watched it right after the fast-paced and moving Desmond episode didn't help it any.

That episode was a tear jerker. at first i thought that it was all post-island as well, but the way he reacted to the clerk's question/comments got my attention enough to realize that it was a flashback; when he and Sun couldn't conceive a child yet....you got to pick up on these subtleties and nuances Riz.

    Lol.

i was holding back the tears...especially during the cemetery scene.
