Losing Weight ,While Gaining Muscle

    that is what im doing right now, i just want to know if this is a good way to go about this method or maybe i should try something else??
    well
    this is my typical day.

    (morning)
    protein shake
    oatmeal
    then i ride my bike for 3 miles

    (then work for the rest of day)
    (when i get home)

    i ride my bike again for 3 miles
    imediatly hit the weights.

    then

    protein shake
    egg whites

    tuna sandwhich

    then chicken breast

    does this sound alright, or should i make some improvements on anything??
    i just started a month ago,and i've noticed a few pounds of weightloss,but for some reason i feel like im not doing something right. Maybe the weightloss and weight gaining from lifting is clashing in the middle?? help me out
