Ima rapper and a music producer what i usually do is listen to the beat once or twice to kinda get a feel of what I wanna say then I play it again and freestyle to the track stop it and write it down then play it again rapping what i just wrote down and add more lyrics I would listen to the hook part first and come up with a hook then start maken verses based on what your talkin bout in the hook
    Hope this helps you!!!
