In all the time you are alive, I never thought you die. I never thought,

Now I guess I get to test how powerful memories are
Aren't enought to bring you back
But as my memories reenact, I never knew who you are
I say "are" because you are still alive
    "Were" seems to introduce
    A withering, or evanescence
I never knew that "never knew" could refer to someone known in the present
    You're an extension
    A collection
I learn more of you each day
Old friend, you give me faith

In all the time you are alive, I never thought you die. I never thought,

I wasn't on earth when they told me,
    I didn't have any feelings
    No emotions of grief
    I didn't have any thoughts,
    Except those of disbelief

I don't know were I was when they told me,
    It was unaccounted for time
In a matrix realm a state of phlegm, staring in the rear view at my mind
Through unknown eyes, as I inhale a breath -
    My vicissitude
In a period only described, as death
You took a part of me within you
    Yet within you I resurrect

Which means from death we both are freed
On the pillows of memories we rest in peace
