he can't make free throws. he has no jumper. he chokes in clutch situations. he's way too overrated.

oh, my bad. i just forgot he scored 29 out of the last 30 points for his team, and made the game-winning shot in double-overtime along with 48 points. peace.

    LOL....he finally broke through.

Bad thing about it for Bron is.....90% of NBA fans either ride his dick too hard, or hate on him too hard...it's not many inbetweens. Everybody is either caught up in the hype, or disgusted by it.

lebron james' numbers for this series are simply outstanding

    26.8 PPG (46.7% FG, 41.7% 3P)
    8.2 RPG
    8.6 APG
    2.8 SPG

are you kidding me? are you fucking kidding me?

anybody who's still hating on this kid is likely a hater of his from before he entered the league and who continues to hate out of frustration over being wrong about him

    there's just nothing to hate

    he's great

um, he set a palace scoring record back in the 2003 playoffs and has good games against the detroit pistons

two things holding back t-mac for his playoff career:

    1. awful cast in orlando... yes, worse than lebron's in cleveland

    andrew... fucking... declerq

    2. yao holding the houston rockets back against better competition

god, 31 mpg and getting run out of the building even at that length of play?

    terrible...

and, even though lebron's cast may not be the greatest, they're young and able-bodied

it's better to have a young and able-bodied bad cast than an aging, creaky old bad cast

something t-mac has had in addition to the giant stiff

what am i talking about? what are you talking about?

until a player is actually on a team, you have no idea how they will coincide... yao's style of play doesn't really accomodate a quick playmaker like lebron very well, because (1) he has trouble catching the ball and (2) when he does catch the ball, his movements aren't that quick to respond for his move to the hoop

it happened several times with mcgrady, and i guarantee a lot of lebron's zippier passes would go to waste

and, he hasn't shown that he can elevate his game in the postseason

he shot 44% against mehmet okur's defense and got worked by carlos boozer

yao puts up eye-catching numbers, but he doesn't really impact or change the game for the players around him

i wouldn't be surprised if cleveland would have lost the series in 5 games with him in z-ill's place. why? because they'd feel obligated to run more of the offense around him, and he'd do nothing but disappoint

it's wrong that yao is viewed as such an asset to use as leverage against tracy mcgrady, especially when it comes to the playoffs

he's simply to slow to keep up with quicker postseason play

the houston rockets may need to think about getting rid of him, because the only team successful operating around a low-post presence like that is san antonio... and, tim duncan is a lot more agile and dexterous than yao

    Yao > Zydrunas

you think Big Z is this quick footed spring chicken?

no one is saying Yao is the best player in the league, sure hes not a quick, athletic type player, doesn't mean he doesn't command double teams, he can pull bigs out of the lane because they have to respect his range, hes a better post defender than Z, etc...

using Yao as some kind of scapegoat as to why T-Mac hasn't been out of the first round the last 2 playoff runs with Houston is retarded... his slowfooted ass still dropped 25 and 10 this postseaon...

maybe Mcgrady shooting sub 40% from the field in the Utah series is a better reason for their L...

no one's saying he's the scapegoat. i'm not blaming him. what i'm saying is that he didn't help matters much. especially against dallas when he only played 31 minutes per game and often racked up numbers in garbage time. come on now...

you say he got 25 and 10 against utah. true. what good is 25 and 10 though when you give up 25 and 11 to carlos boozer? or, when you commit 5 turnovers per game?

and, yeah it's true that tracy didn't shoot well, but it's not a better reason... not even close. he was our best player in the series by far. he didn't shoot well against utah during the regular season either... it was somewhat expected that he could struggle, but he still got us 7.3 APG with a 2.4333 AST/TO ratio

[funny], i don't know why we're talking about this in this thread though. i shouldn't have reacted the way i did to double's post

either way, you need to brush up on your analysis game

and, zydrunas > yao in this year's playoffs

the numbers don't tell the story

    z-ill's effectiveness has been stellar

    no one said he isn't

i was explaining to double how t-mac has had great playoff games as evidenced by his 2-game league record in the palace and addressing some reasons why he hasn't been out of the first round yet

he's clearly played well enough to advance in a more favorable setting

especially against a gilbert arenas and caron butler-less washington wizards
