nah some people say that about certain battlers.
it was close as fuck
I had Tantrum taking the first, Ill taking the second and the 3rd is kind of a toss up. What I really noticed was the bump up in pen games.
its hard to pick a winner here... i had Tantrum edging 1st .... illusion edging 2nd ........................ the 3rd round is the hard one to judge since they were BOTH ON SAME TOPIC , Illusion had one of the deepest rounds ever in battle rap & Tatntrum had one of the most disrespectful , it was ying & yang .....i guess i could identify w/ Illusions point of view on it SO Illusion 2-1 ....DOPE BATTLE
I had it even after two rounds, and after Illusion's third I was sure he took the battle. Then I heard Tantrum's third.
Like someone said earlier, there were no losers here.
I'd rather see you die young, than live long and go out like a bitch.
That was the most hurtful friend bar EVER.
Someone post that Ars verse IMO
This fool Illusion was on some lyrical shit....
His writing definitely impressed me....
This shit was dooooope....
I gave it to Tantrum, tbh....
Illusion had better lyricism, but it came down to the third for me, and Illusion's round of "guilt trip" material didn't come off as insulting as Tantrum's round of "you're a faggot without alcohol" material...
Damn. that was sick. illusion z has improved a lot. tantrum killed it as well. too hard to call. CLASSIC!
Too hard to call.
I did vote for illusion-z just because I related a little more.
I'm more a drunken Mexican than an Asian virgin
Are they still friends? Seems like Illusion genuinely resents him, lol.
It wasn't that close in my eyes. Tantrum sonned the shit out of Illusion Z, almost had him ready to cry in that 3rd. Y'all ready think "You weren't there for me when I almost threw my life away" is a strong angle for a rap battle? LMFAO what has battling become?
I wasn't trying to "win." I just wanted to tell the truth the whole time, and as dope as Tantrum came, his third pissed me off cause it wasn't true.
It was more common back when the West was one of the top divisions in battling and the top guys used to travel more than other places or get big out of state/country matches flown to battle them in their homestate. It's not as common anymore since other divisions/leagues have upped their status and you could use the same complaint against many other top battlers.
He made it sound convincing and you looked really hurt. This is a performance art so that's more important than telling the 100% truth. Let's be serious, most fans don't have the time and resources to fact check rap battle performances.
regardless of how it looked on cam, my material hit him just as hard. making something convincing doesn't make it true.
that was amazing, that was fucking amazing.
battle of the year for me.
jeezum that look in Illusion's eyes for the third, and even though he foreshadowed Tantrum's 'well you fucked your own life up' stance, Tantrum delivered it so convincingly.
Illusion, have you and him spoken since and if so what was the first thing either of you said?
Halfway through so far, this battle is fuckin great!
Both of them killing it, and going in lol
wow, maybe one of the most personal battles i ever seen.
I mean these 2 have known each other for a minute, and be4 i even clicked this, i actually knew to expect a few personals based on their history, but...................dayum this shit was deeper than just rappin. These 2 obviously had a few subconscious thoughts on one another, and they vividly manifested themselves in these verses.
Its funny, cuz sometimes u wanna say something to ur boy, and at times u may have in passing, but when u get a chance to write it in a well thought out way like a rap verse, the picture u paint becomes more life like than the person battling in front of u.
I knew this battle would get personal but I didn't expect it to get this personal.
Both stepped it up here. It was probably Illusion-Z's best performance and while it might not have been Tantrum's best, it was one of the most cohesive approaches he's had in a while.
Some painful, hard hitting lines in this battle that's for sure.
Except Tantrum still uses "BITCH!" as a punchline...
Separate names with a comma.
