exactly. there was a recent study that said daily show viewers are more learned and intelligent than o'reiley factor viewers. a statistic they used to retort to o'reiley's public assertions that daily show was a show for stoned slackers.

it must have been after the second debate then.
Its a bold move for any business to publicaly declare their political affiliation or opinions because it puts them at a risk to lose business. Thats admirable.

true, but its far superior to hannity and colmes^
also, stewart's point was that they contribute nothing to public discourse and they are merely a tool for the canidate's campaign. He makes a very good point.

i think you meant to say, an overwhelming majority of younger voters get their information from the daily show as opposed to other news reports

if you actually meant to say were more intelligent then please link me to this report you are talking about, because thats not likely, i dont think to many studies can prove that. Not to argue just interested in seeing that

The press release broke dramatic evidence that not only proves that Stewart’s viewers are far from "dopey", but reveals the real audience behind the accusatory O’Reilly. The data was collected by a National Annenberg Election Survey and revealed that “Research conducted by COMEDY CENTRAL reveals that the viewers of "The Daily Show" are 78% more likely than the average adult to have four or more years of college education and 74% more likely than the average adult to have a household income of greater than $75,000 and an occupation of 'professional, owner or manager'." With respect to "The O'Reilly Factor", "viewers of the Fox News Channel's signature show are only 24% more likely than the average adult to have four or more years of college education and, amazingly, are 15% less likely than the average adult to have a household income of greater than $75,000 and an occupation of 'professional, owner or manager'.” O’Reilly has not yet commented on the press release.

    that is interesting. haha

I actually dont know anyone my age who watches daily show. But i met two 45 year olds at my job who bought the daily show book and they called stewart brilliant, so from my perception it seems like o'reiley got the demographics all wrong.
