    Fuck you Game

Jay-Z is already plotting his return to rap.

The Island Def Jam Music Group President racked up a plethora of accolades in 2004, but has opted to served double duty as CEO and artist.

The rapper “retired” from Hip-Hop in 2003 following the release of The Black Album and publicly stated that it would take a “miracle” for him to return.

Amidst the emergence of numerous freestyles on the Net and a recent visit to New York City’s Hot 97, Jay-Z recently confirmed what many speculated.

“I won't tour, and I am taking a break, but I'll be back,” He confessed to the Page Six Column in the New York Post. "I am planning on recording again.”

Sources speculate that a new studio album could be offered from Jay later this year. Additionally, Jay reportedly has albums from Memphis Bleek, Young Gunz and Foxy Brown lined up this year

Also april 4th fade to black with 4 new songs :) Ignorant shit might be one tho.

It isnt. He has never really stopped rapping. He would have come back no matter what, its his passion obviously. But im sure, just seeing his image be partially tainted by game, helps him in not wanting to actually fade out.

lol @ Publicity stunt. Anyone who followed his career knows he wanted to retire on 4 different occasions. never once, has it amounted in more sales. 99 problems was huge and reached a new demographic....thats how you sell records.
He sold 3 million of it, same as Volume 3, blueprint 2. Hard knock life sold 5 million, so it aint like he is selling an unsurpassed amount of records, he has a steady 2 million fanbase of people like me who consider him goat, and then all the drifters that cop this one and that one..
I dont understand how its a publicity stunt tho

He did semi retire...there was no solo joint this yr, and Jay-Z always has a 4th quarter solo album EVERY YR

I haven't followed his career, so I can only recall two times when he tried to retire. 'There's Been a Murder', and this thing right now... what were the other too?
