i thought nas had jay after ether...but the track blueprint 2 is the best diss of all of them cuz he goes at his character....dissin him for being greedy, and his whole prophetic shit.....blueprint 2 was a sick diss track, like someone already said though it was too late.....it was by far the best hip hop battle ever, certainly a better contest than pac/bigs or 50/d-block....cuz these guys are true lyricists, and are clearly intelligent

I'm not tryna get sucked into the biz and be a star. I'd rather stay underground.

Well look how many songs Jay had to make after Ether. And look how BP2 did, matter fact, all of his albums post BP1 did compared to how he has done before.

    How did Nas beat Jay?

-better lyrically and he called him on some shit, the excessive biting of Biggie for one

I dont know, Jay's "best" line in Takeover, at least to most people, is about as far from truth as one can get. If "It Was Written" and "I Am..." aren't hot albums, then Jay's got 1, maybe 2 hot albums for his whole fuckin career.

I dont honestly think Jay wants to bring up catalogues against Nas cause inconsistancy is one of Jay's huge flaws. RD and BP and then what? A bunch of garbage and mediocre shit. Nas has one bad album, and the rest are 4.5-5 mic.

What does any of that have to do with karma? Even though BP2 and The Black Album weren't as good as BP1, they were still pretty good albums. It wasn't like he dissed Nas and all of a sudden he just started droppin flops all over the place. Street's Disciple wasn't as good as Stillmatic so if that's the case, you can blame that on karma too.

I ain't downloadin nothing from him. I've read the lyrics. So I ask again, WHAT TRUTH DID HE SPEAK BESIDES HIM SLEEPING WITH CARMEN? And don't dance around the question either.

Plenty. Nas hit him hard with Ether, he thought his lil "takeover" was a shoe-in. He decided to screw around with Nas' baby moms, he verbally attacked Nas and got ripped.

What are you talking about? We not on carmen anymore. We talking about truths about Nas. Blueprint 2 the song rips his character apart.

Go listen to Blueprint 2, the song. the DISS TRACK.

And I'm thinking of Takeover too. There were very little truths spoken in that. Most of that ish was his own opinion.
