attn dipshit: we are calling it that because thats the name of it...
slap urself for posting that shit
Ridin' Dirty - UGK, Enter the 36th Chamber
Umm hell hath no fury?
Damn Crescent_Swerve I used to think you're an idiot but this changes my whole opinion of you...or maybe I'm an idiot too.
Tonedeff is my favorite music artist of all time (I put him above Miles Davis, Thom Yorke, Mozart, EVERYONE) but I can definitely understand why people don't fuck with him. I heard someone say he sounds like a "gay pornstar on crack" which is kinda accurate lmao.
But yeah flow wise he's miles ahead of guys like Twist or Tech N9ne. They just do this staccato 16th note shit Tonedeff's shit is much smoother usually and he can switch it up like crazy.
seattlebattle is my new favorite poster.
how come no one mentioned clams casino ?
dat live.love.asap production by him...
also kendrick's section.80 production was on point.
there's no denying 2001, but i dunno, it's tough for me to say any album is better produced than the blueprint. an entire album of kanye and just blaze at their hungriest is a tough thing to argue with. college dropout had amazing production too. i can feel what willy is saying about country grammar as well. i'm not gonna act like nelly is a top 5 mc or anything, but that album fuckin bumps.
black milk is dope in small doses, an entire album of black milk puts me to sleep. dilla gets thoroughly overrated by the same type of people that think madlib is jesus and that that mf doom can rap (he can't). mannie fresh and swizz beats get overlooked like hell in most best producer discussions. dr dre is dr dre, not a whole lot to say there. pimp c gets kinda slept on, i think. the beat for swishas and dosha is possibly my favourite ever.
nas has possibly the worst beat selection skills in the world, and salaam remi is ass more often than not, but goddamn if get down isn't one of the best beats ever made.
yeah, too bad jay shat the bed over that beat. if only jay had gotten it like 3 years earlier, or even a year later... smh. kingdom come and death of auto-tune are two beats that i kinda wish that jay had just sat on until he was fully back in form.
kendrick's flow on it
I felt like Kingdom Come was Jay's tuneup album. I have no idea what he was trying to do with that album. And those Dre beats sound like beats that Dre had in the recycle bin that Jay just happened to check out and want.
i actually like tone deff but gotta admit he does kinda just sound like hes talkin fast rather than rappin
How long did you work on that sig my nigga
It took a MINUTE to get that shit done. Like it legit took like 30 minutes. Had I not had a bottle of Gatorade and the good Lord on my side, I wouldn't have made it through. I knew the payoff would be glorious though so I kept going.
EDIT: It works as an easy way to find my posts when I'm scrolling through threads tbh. You just don't see many multi-colored sigs these days.
Chronic 2001 is a crazy one.
So much different styles on it too. Great album.
Yep the production on the Chronic is amazing. I do think alot of albums have surpassed it though:
+ Common - Like Water for Chocolate (IMO is the best produced album ever) Dilla >>>
+ Gangstarr - Moment of Truth
+ The Pharcyde - Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde
+ Mos Def - Black on Both Sides
+ Pete Rock & CL Smooth - Mecca and the Soul Brother
MOP-warriorz..if thats the one preemo produced
mos def-black on both sides
gangstarr-moment of truth
its crazy that no one mentioned them before the dude above me
Is Gatorade code for Adderall? That sig is intricate as hell
Agree 100% with Like Water For Chocolate. Simply an amazing album. Even the little samples between tracks are ridiculous. Time Travelin Reprise too...
