not always...and you can bet if I can trace the source of cotton a company uses to a field that used such pesticides, I wouldn't buy it.

I'm not sure I need to be lectured on murder by people like you who defend abortion on demand.

Look at this kid, you have no sympathy for the murdered victims. Their lives are just mere bullshit to you, partial birth abortion brings a simle to your face. I understand, you advocate infacide and support murderers.

How do liberals know? this is an artical of faith, not a statement of empirical fact. if the death penalty doesn't deter murder, how come michael moore is still alive and i'm not on death row, LoL? In the forties and fifties, before the courts started halting executions on the basis of the judges personal opposition to the death penalty, murder was rare. As soon as the supreme court decleared the death penalty unconstitutional in 1972, the murder rate soared and has only begun to come down as capital sentences have been gradually reintroduced. Of course the death penalty might deter a little more effectively if the average time spent on death row were not nearly a decade or if death row inmates were not more likely to die of causes other than execution while awaiting their executions. When convicts on death row are dying of old age, we may be a few tweaks short of an effective deterrent.

Still arguing for the murderers? Doesn't suprise me, seeing how your pro-abortion as well.

^Oddly enough, X once looked inside an aspirin bottle and decided to sue the drug company for forcing him to pick the cotton. He charged them with, sentimental racism.

No wonder Ghet hates you. You're a stereotypical liberal: Sociology degrees, canvas belts, vegan, shop at good will.

Even I almost can't stand you now! [funny]

i've stated numerous times in this forum that i'm anti-abortion...hell I have "anti-abortion" listed in my myspace About Me section. [funny]

    it's pretty simple...

in states that practice the death penalty, murder rates are much higher.

"but those states that use the death penalty are more likely to be from the south and, thus, more likely to be poor...which is actually has the greatest influence on crime rates"

that's valid. but guess what...analyses that compare states of generally equal wealth have shown that those with the death penalty still have higher murder rates

and becaues I know you'll ask: Alex Thio - Deviant Behavior (8th Edition), p. 83-84

at least you're honest about it [funny]

politicians usually feed the public a line of shit about detterance so they can appease the people who want them to be "hard on crime" while not alienating the people on the fence.

Why would I read your myspace? exactly.

I've have witnessed you many times being pro-abortion in other threads on here in the past. So Please! Still doesn't change fact their are pro-abortionist who are anti-death penalty. You're playing a shell game. If you could band either the death penalty or abortion which one would you choose?

You didn't even read what I wrote, if you had, you notice what you just stated is an artical of faith. You presenting a straw man. The murder-rate has been soaring so long because the death penalty was found unconstutional and disbanded, which is why it seems like the recently reinstalled death penalty today doesn't deter, however, it slowly has been.

And I would speculate that the states in the US with the highest sales of viagra have the highest recorded instances of male impotency. This, however, would say nothing of viagra's efficacy in solving impotency problems.

Close, but not quite right. The increase in the murder rate was engendered by liberal's callous treachery in vietnam.
