    BINGO.

You nerds fall TOO MUCH in love with the stats sometimes. He's without a doubt in the Top 10-15 in terms of impact players. Besides Tim Biakabutuka was a bust, Curtis Enis, Lawrence Phillips, Cedric Benson, Rashaan Salaam those kinda guys. Since when is being the best offensive player on your team (besides the QB) get you labeled as a bust?

lets say this, if you told new orleans this is the production youd get out of him in his 3rd year, he wouldnt have gone #2 overall

He was but he was an incredible receiver out of the backfield and has the second most receptions for any non receiver.

dont forget deangelo williams at #28 and joseph addai at #30

not the strongest nfl draft either

this year is going to be ridiculous in terms of talent depth at skill poitions

if bush was in any other draft class then i could agree...personally as it looks now....Felix Jones > Reggie Bush(as a running back)

    proved me wrong?

just because a draft class is weak doesnt mean a guy isnt a BUST in terms of draft position

i guarantee new orleans thought they were getting a better running back than they did when they drafted bush

the reason he has so many receptions is because they want to get him the ball but he is uneffective when his touches are handoffs

hey , yeah , teams should go around drafting guys who are great punt/kick returners with their 2nd overall picks

i believe in addressing needs, sure....lets go back and look at other top 5 picked RBs in recent drafts and see how they compare

shit peterson was taken #7 in 2007

    ronnie brown #2 in 2005

actually dating back to 2003 only 5 Rbs have been taken in the first 10 picks

i just named 2 of them

i guess if you think reggie bush is good enough to be a top 10 pick at rb when there have only been 4 others then you either know something i dont or are retarded

New Orleans knew wut kinda back they were getting from Reggie Bush....they wanted Bush as a lightning attack but Duece Mcallister doin as terribly as he did and getting hurt, teams eat up a back like bush in the back field...soo they move him around(which is good for his style)....the dude is still incredibly talented and i doubt the Saints(knowing wut they know now) would change their minds

He's a WR, ok. So how do his WR numbers stack up to other WRs?

You guys like him, so you try to make excuses for him underachieving. It doesn't work.

idiot...like i said from the start...its about the system he's in...in the right system he is a number 2 draft pick.....He's not the same kinda back as Peterson or Brown but in the right system he could be as explosive as Peterson was(given the size difference)

He's a WR? he's not a WR but they use him as such which is how he should be used...a RB/WR kinda back

his career yards per carry is 3.6

lets see some other guys with the same ypc and see how great we think they are

pro-football-reference doesnt go that low as far ass career ypc, it only goes to 4.0

    some of those guys include

    michael pittman
    tj duckett
    kevin jones
    rudi johnson
    julius jones
    sammy morris

yeah all about .4 ypc better than reggie

and those guys are who again?

    you wanna call names now?

thats hilarious....me an idiot coming from YOU of all people, oooook.

system? the fuck are you talking about? youre trying to tell me peterson wouldnt fit in new orleans? or addai or deangelo? youre speaking absurdities...nfl is a talent based league.... the disparity between a need from one team to the next isnt 15 draft slots

i dont care how you try to rationalize it, you will never make a point strong enough to me to convince me that he was worthy of a #2 pick. now if he ever becomes a legit run threat or starts catching balls at distances of more than 10 yards, ill believe he filled his value.... but a career 3.6 ypc guy who catches dink passes out of the backfield isnt gonna convince me he is worthy of a #2 draft pick regardless of his ncaa highlight reels

thats the point he is making, you wanna call him a wr? because hes not a real rb...half the people already admitted that

on top of that how many of those names on that list average under 10 yards per reception?

    only him

yeah he grabs short passes.... fantastic what does that prove to me? he is worthy of being a #2 pick?
