It always bugs me when muthafuckas leave Scarface out of their top list. He got at least 3 classic albums under his belt and is one of the most consistent of all time.

Pun was dope, but over-rated... Capital Punishment is dope, but not a classic... and his second album was horrendous... lyrically, he was more about schemes than anything... there was some cleverness and humor there, but not much variety in his flows... I think he tried too hard to be the Puerto Rican Biggie before he died and his work suffered tremendously... when he was straight up hood hard and BX, then he was more convincing.

With that said, I'd put him in the top 100 all time as an artist... and probably top 50 as a pure lyricist.

Twamp and Donn, people forget Scarface because he wasn't a wordy, schematic lycist, which is what a lot of people tend to think of when people think of the "best lyricists" or "best rappers"... he rhymed in paragraphs, not in clever couplets... I like his Geto Boys work more than his solo work, though... he still got that emotion, though...

My objective top 10 all time

    1. Nas
    2. Jay Z
    3. Rakim
    4. Pac
    5. Biggie
    6. Eminem
    7. G. Rap
    8. Scarface
    9. Ice Cube
    10. KRS One

My FAVORITE top 10 all time

    1. Nas
    2. Common
    3. Posdnous
    4. Guru
    5. G. Rap
    6. Ghostface
    7. Big Boi
    8. Andre3000
    9. Redman
    10. Too Short

Most Underrated Top 10 all time (as in, their names need to come up more often)

    1. C.L. Smooth
    2. Lord Finesse
    3. Treach
    4. Kool Keith
    5. Posdnous
    6. Guru
    7. Q Tip
    8. MC Eiht (the "west coast Scarface")
    9. Grand Puba
    10. Chuck D.

he was more like the puerto rican g rap in terms of rhyming because pun was way more complex lyrically then biggie. and his first album was and his a personal classic album to me

and pun could rhyme fast or slow so again i don't think u know what u talking about there.

You're not gettin' it... on his second album, he slowed down his rhyming and simplified his style big time and started becoming more of a player... ie., "PR Biggie"... before, he rapped faster and was more gangsta/hardcore... "PR G Rap"

Both influences were there... he even admitted it, "Biggie gave me a couple of pointers"... on that skit where he talked about him and Joe running "triznains"... "Triz Nathaniel" to you... LMAO!! That skit had me rollin'!!
