Cross fit is huge here right now but I keep hearing mixed reviews. The people that love it swear by doing cross fit and nothing else and people that hate it say it you just hurt yourself - pull muscles and tear up your knees. Has anyone tried it?

haven't tried it but hear the same reviews.

basically, if you are in shape or know proper form you'll be ok. if you're the other 98% you risk a high chance of injury since they don't correct your form, don't give you a down period during their bootcamps, and want you to work at the same level and same weight in minute 40 as you did to begin.

also, their "WOD" schedule is bullshit. you get like 2 hours...or all day...to finish a workout.

I think Cross Fit was a "trend" 5 years ago.

I think any time people are getting out there and working out it's a positive. With that said, I think most Crossfit workouts are chaotic, illogical, and just kind of stupid. Much better stuff out there.

The people getting injuried most likely have no clue what they're doing.

glad you figured that out. it also happens when a trainer doesn't properly attend to the clients, allows them to use terrible form, and then encourages them using heavier weights and progressive movements instead of regressive.

I think whenever individuals are getting out there and operating out it's a good. With that said, I think most Crossfit exercises are disorderly, unreasonable, and just type of ridiculous. Much better things out there.
