Insanity

my love for you right now is alike a rose..
so alive it glows..
sorry to say.. it may be dead when you arrive though..
you say, the only reason we aint choppin' it up right now is because you shoppin' for clothes..
time is money and i happen to like dough..
so spend some on me..instead of trips to sin city, for a weekend..
in simply 72 hours, you make me feel like our bond is weakened..
but not only when you're away are you so distant..
when you're only across the street.. within 50 feet and we can't meet..
i feel really dissed then..
and during the experience i can't help but to be curious, if it's ever me you're missing..
and when my gut feelings say no, boy am i oh so furious..
tearless because you're far too careless for me to shed..
so i swallow the lump in my neck.. wallowing w/neglect..
expected, but ahead is the next bump in the road to dread..

Sanity

but worry not, i know what's wrong..
i met you and i sold myself a dream all along..
stupid enough to believe someone as cruel as you could be sent from above..
and i've lowered my standards in the interest of love..
drastically because having confidence would disallow me to accept..
the way your actions speak louder than "wait".. leaves me inept..
thinking could fighting this hard ever be worth it..
praying to God asking could this ever be perfect..
when nothing even is..
because she has her defenses against the very same thing she inflicts..
like walls and guards..
but when we do finally fall in love, and you submit..
i'm writing poetry for hallmark cards..bitch!
