ill take a look at some of those threads later. I do agree with you that no equipment will help me at this point. I need to gain an understanding of what it is I am trying to achieve. I need to understand an audience I am going for. The problem with opinion is that its just that its an opinion. There are no absolute truth in it. Music is all subjective. Most people like things they can relate to and music is no different. My growth now goes into finding what it is about these songs that draws people to them and I have a good grasp on westcoast the midwest and NY. The south is a little different for me but Im sure Ill pick it up. There is a reason why most of the people here hate Techno but its great music to somebody. It appeals to someone its not a lie if someone says they like it. The thing I need to learn now that I should have learned 4 years ago are formulas. With formulas u understand what it is about tracks that attract people to them. Its also how u learn how to shop to potential customers. It isnt about its good or it isnt its more about it fits or it doesnt fit. What I have done for years are things that do not fit

    c/s (change subject)...

To really bring light to this thread..

I do my homework here locally in Miami and it's surprising at how many cats that don't really explore like most of did (rm.com, •••••••••, forums etc).. miss out on what information is out there to learn. This site has helped my production get to where it is now. More than anything, the competition. With or without equipment, the talent on this site forced me to step my game up and keep challenging myself.. because shit, there are some monsters on here!.. Salute!

To all that i've replied with "hot track!!" "10/10" "etc..". Thanks!
To the beat battles on rm.com, thanks.. they were great (2003-2005'ish)..
Keep making music.. I know it's what keeps most of us, keeping on...
