Hahahahaha, dude, you have seriously got too much time on your hands.
I thought this was a serious thread and I was about to agree that In Da Club is an amazing track. Haha, way too much time...
*smacks Tempyo out of the thread*
i was thinkin "no shit" when i came into this thread... i don't think anyone can dispute this
i think grodt is a classic album...altho that can be disputed...it's listenable the whole way thru...lyrically it aint amazing but it sounds dooope....
discuss??...considering the intial topic is a no brainer
Anyone who considers Get Rich Or Die Trying to be a classic should be cocksmacked back into the loony bin.
kris taft doesnt know what hes sayning is lts like hes sayes whateve rhe thinks is cool but its not cuz its stupid and iggnorent and by dissing 50 is he practicly dissing rap
eh... Grodt is not a lyricaly good album, it has some nice beats and the collabs are nice too but it's a classic, it's average...
^wtf lmao? lol
so ne way.. GRODT is NOT a classic.. that album is garbage.. if you wanted to go around calling commercial albums classics then pick up a Young Jeezy album.. that man spits nothing but fire yo! fo real! mad skillz.. NYs commin back
To be fair, as a club track, it is a classic. As a DJ, it still gets requested and its still one of the big tracks of the night.
As for GRODT as a classic - face it haters, it was. Who made it the cool thing to hate?
Face it, it's nowhere close to being a classic. Who made it the cool thing to talk out of your ass?
An album cannot be classic when there's not a single lyrically impressive track on there.
I was thinking about it the other day, and it was a good career move by 50 to have his first album single to be the best song he'd ever record, which also happens to be a classic.
that single is hands down a CLUB classic......butt GRODT a classic.... whats wrong with you kids...callin everything that is GOOD, classic....
Illmatic is classic....Reasonable Doubt...classic.....I'll be damned if you anybody puts GRODT next to those two albums....
No That It Isnt A Clssic!!
The people who think GRODT is a classic probably think Manny Fresh is a talented producer or Cam'ron is a dope mc.
an album is not classic just because 10%* of the hiphop community thinks it is...
* i have pulled this statistic out of my ass...
