Lol. Ya ok L. ron hubbard
maybe self condemnation and judgement is the Holy Spirit that dwells within us making us aware, just a thought
but i do agree that self condemnation is up there, i mean most times i find it harder to forgive myself, even when others already have
The holy spirit convicts as he searches ur heart, however after repentance God remebers your sins no more so if God can forgive and forget them u can , it says 'they are thrown into the sea of forgetfullness'. So if uve repented and u still feel condemnation its not of the holy spirit. Its of the accuser of the brethrean satan. So 'cast down the thought' because it is not of God.
says who? us human being give ourselves too much credit when it comes to knowledge.
Says God. Through his word.
The issue not that it isnt so. Just that uve yet to discover it.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
are you God? how can you say God said it through his word if you haven't spoken to him directly or propose any evidence that you did?
He speaks to us all directly through 'the word of God'. The bible. Is His will and testiment. hense the name old/new testiment.
how do you know for certain?
historically, theologians said that babies and young children who died would go to Limbo.
Because truth bares witness with ur spirit. When u approach the reading of it free of preconception of what youve been told, or believed i believe u will find the same.
Limbo, and purgetory are not found in the bible.
isn't that a personal and independent feeling that should not necessarily be preached or told as actual fact onto others?
because that's what it is, how is it not?
Because u have a spirit as much as the next man. The only difference is ur less aware of it, and in turn supress the discernment u can achieve by learning how to tap into and sense what its telling u
when and what is repentance? i'm only familiar with the catholic tradition of confession where a priest gives you penance but i don't think that's in the bible
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Psalm 32:5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"--and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah
Psalm 51:2 Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.
Proverbs 28:13 He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
The point is with Jesus we have the ability to confess our sins and ask forgiveness and turn from that sin and we will be forgiven and God remembers it not.
U dont need to confess to a man or a priest, because jesus is our high priest. Through him we have direct access.
ok, thanks. so just confessing our sins in prayer is repentance to the effect described in those passages?
Confessing, asking for forgiveness and turning from it.
Its not enough to soley confess it, and its not enough to soley ask forgiveness.
you're not answering any of my questions with fact. again, how do you know this?
you don't. be humble.
Separate names with a comma.
