one breaks in a lifetime by crashing into furniture?

Or how many times one breaks the same toe?

Clearly this thread was brought to you by the sudden, and painful, obliteration of yet another unsuspecting digit on the corner of a coffee table.

    Cot DAMN that hurts.

I almost broke one of the bones in my big toe in half once. I still can't bend it right.

    See what I'm saying?

    Furniture should be inflatable.

Think of the digits that would be saved. And the digits.

When we were kids we used to sit on skateboards, 3 of us, and go down the hill, sometimes while you were holding with your hands to the skateboard you would run over your thumb or middle finger, kinda got used to it.

:funny:, back in the day when I first got into marathon running a bit more seriously, I'd normally grow at least two sets of nails per running season - then just got so used to it that I'll occasionally lose a big thumb nail per year if lucky..

For some odd reason it's easier to run nailless.. :funny: :scared:

Either that, or making an investment in bibendum suits might not be such a bad idea.. Funny thing - I've never hit my toes in pitch black (residence, office) - but during the day.. Ay caramba.. :funny:

When I was in Hawaii competing in the Iron Man triathlon 5 years ago, a Swordfish swam by - too close, obviously - and inadvertently cut off my big toe with his nose. I had to dive about 20 ft. underwater to catch up to it before I lost it forever. The bike wasn't bad but the marathon was excruciating. My foot was in so much pain I had to put my toe in my mouth so that I had something to bite on to help me bare it.

i heard you could lose your pinky toe with no permanent effect on your balance or walking/running
i dont know how true that is, but apparently the pinky toe itself is so weak it actually does very little

that being said, for apparently being almost useless, it sure hurts like a motherfucker if you stub/break it
