Depends on what you want. If you want clear sound get Cubase. But if you want ease of use, FL Studio 9 Producer is for you. Also it doesn't hurt to test out VST's either. to help the program's capabilities. BTW FL Studio has free version updates forever.

I gotta disagree with you, your sound will only be as good as the sample your using. The program has nothing to do with how "clear" your tracks sound, cuz I'm assuming your doing everything in the box. Now, if you were recording live instruments, then...bit depth and sample rate will come into play.

Like the earlier post said, you gotta have good sounds........other than that its not about the software you use, its about knowing your tool inside out so you can achieve what you desire........

What ur saying FL studio dosn't have that clear sound like Cubase? lol

    Totally wrong...

Or the other guy who would rewire FL to cubase for making beats? Why?

There are couple of good posts here tho... And yeah every software sound the same... I got audio engineering masters degree so i should know.(im not braging tho). Only difference is eaze of use... I would go with FL cos its simple but ull need to get urself good vst-is. Or reason. Also simple but have alot of good sounds
