I work hard on them to the point I can't bend my arms at the elbow when I'm done.

I'm growing impatient. I really want to be bigger around the wrist area. What exercise do you suggest?

Never use straps when performing lifts.

Use a thick bar if your gym has one, or get these:

Heavy deadlifts and pull-ups... Heavy lifts where your grip strength is challenged... reverse barbell curls... I don't think 'isolating' forearms is necessary but to each his own.

But there is little to no muscle around the actual wrist joint, so there's not much you can do there.

pull ups work your forearms, hands pointed away from you

All types of pull-ups work your forearms... wide-grip to a lesser extent though, which is one of the reasons why they're harder. Supinated grip (palms facing towards you) lets your biceps help more and neutral grip (perpendicular to your body) would put more strain on your forearms. The difference isn't that big though.

I feel my forearms being worked the most with heavy Deadlifts; personally, I do sets of 5.

lol @ you never deadlifting in your life, therefore not knowing how much it helps with forearm development.

Sure wrist curling helps... but lifting 100kg+ for reps > any wrist curls.

The biggest muscle in the forearm is the brachioradialis. Wrist curls don't exercise that muscle. It's not a matter of opinion or experience.

Brachioradialis works in conjunction with biceps, so you could easily get big forearms from exercises that use your biceps, which you probably did.

    I didn't :funny:

Sometimes I research certain topics addictively... muscle functionality being one of them, like which ones perform which tasks, etc.

Deadlifts and hammer curls are where it's at for forearms. I'm not suggesting you do them on the same day, you got to follow and work with your program.

    Fuck a wrist curl
