yall remember about 9 years ago, when u could actually sit down and watch rap city, and anticipate videos?

or any other hip-hop video program?

back in the day, when cats like Keith Murray could get signed, and blow up videos spittin about "organic compounds" and shit like that

back in the day when hip-hop videos were just fuckin raw, sitting on the door steps, on the bench with ur crew, just rippin it

i think we took these days for granted

and now we have to deal with the popcorn bullshit of this new era

its amazing that the videos that were the most popular back in the day would have never gotten any light of day today

if nas were to come out today, he couldnt possibly blow up, or probably even get signed to a major label for that matter

same with a lot of past greats

    what the fuck happened?

yeh, its fucked up when u can only name ONE video

of course the usual couple dope cats had ill shit, nas, em, jay, etc

but when was the last time somebody DOPE and raw broke into the scene?

i'm not tlakin about joe budden raw, i'm talkin about completely original RAW

back in the day cats used to break into the scene with their OWN styles, and own ways of spittin

now, u gota fit a fuckin formula b4 u can even be considered
