I think that's why the story was done the way it was...allowing new and old to connect..everyone across the board just hates Vince in general

gut... one of the points i keep trying to stress to you is that, although the wwe is and has been gaining a much younger fanbase, the majority of wwe viewers are not children.

PROOF (slide 3 of 28): Wwe Tv Presentation

according to the wwe... 23.2% of it's viewers are under 18. that means 76.8% of wwe viewers are adults.

roughly 3 out of 4 wwe fans are old enough to kno what happened between vince and bret in montreal.

tbh I still think a lot of the adult audience is new generation and even if they are familiar the past, they weren't necessarily viewers at the time.

that said, there is a portion of us around who do remember it really well, enough that Hart vs. McMahon even just on paper makes us pay attention... enough of us that it is not entirely lost... but i do think wwe has done a decent job pandering to the people who are going to be buying the show by reintroducing the hitman character and putting vince in the driver's seat. the people have seemingly come on board as the storyline has progressed rather than it being red hot from the start (judging by the in-house crowds at least).

wwe also says there website gets more viewers than myspace and monday night football :funny:

a majority of there audience is underage.... otherwise how would you explain all the cena and rey mysterio cheers..

wwe doesn't realize that they have lost most of its adult viewers to UFC... and the only adult viewers they have are new fans,

IMO i think they waited to long to do this bret/vince thing... even some of the old fans i know.. are asking wtf is this shit?

if you are trying to establish a new format... you need to leave the old shit in the past.. this is the same reason why i wouldnt care if they did austin vs rock at wrestlemania....there teasing me with these matches from the attitude era..

and are they serious about bringing goldberg back? there is no one in wwe that would be a formidable opponent for goldberg... cena vs goldberg wouldn't make sense.... maybe batista vs goldberg...even thats not saying much

How do you explain the Cena/Rey cheers? Are you saying that that if there no kids or underaged viewers there, that neither man would get as big a pop as they have been? Um..

your immature as fuck... i don't need to be providing evidence when its a fact that the majority of its audience is underage.. hince, PG

cena and rey mysterio is the reason its pg because vince knew that all the kids where buying there shit, smart really but you can still have a good wrestling show with a pg audience....wrestling doesn't need tits, ass and blood to be good....thats one fault of the attitude era i think... it doesn't really matter if its pg or rated m for mature its a wrestling business not a porn business....

when rey brought his son and daughter out there i thought they where from nxt and rey was there pro lmao,,

if your going to act like you know everything then you got to be opened to listen to other peoples opinions.. otherwise wtf are you doing on the internet bro? that makes you sound immature and like a know it all prick who knows nothing

Raw is still pulling a 2.0 rating in the 18-49 demo though. Which is actually the highest or one of the highest for in that demo on monday nights on cable. So they are still pulling a high amount of adults.

Also about them saying they get more viewers then MNF sometimes. What they are likely doing is adding together the viewers from each hour of RAW which are counted as two separate shows in the ratings. So if each hour has like 5 million viewers they can just add those together and say 10 million. Which could be more then a bad MNF football game.

Um...how the fuck are the kids getting there? Are you saying that there are nothing but kids and women in the arena? Are you that fucking stupid? and WWE always had the PG prior to the Attitude Era.. I hate people that act like the fact that the PG rating is there, or that alot of the fans are kids that big of a fucking issue. FOol weren't you a fuckin kid growing up on this shit too? I'm pretty sure I don't recall my grandfather saynig "Fuck this, too many kids in this fuckin arena cheering for Hogan!"

    ..

See, I normally don't say shit but I can honestly why these cats cut your throat on here..*smh*

AND I got a daughter..if it's on some kiddie shit, because I KNOW that caters towards HER, then yes, I'll do it..not take her to some fuckin' wrestling show just because she likes Rey Mysterio's pretty colors. So yes, if they are taking them there, paying for themselves, their kids and possibly their wives? Then its enjoyed by all on SOME level. And you are ASSUMING that all the guys are booing Cena..that's not the case, that's just what you want to believe is happening. Cena DOES have male fans, you do know that right?

so if your kids wanted to go see the circus you wouldnt take them because you don't enjoy it.. sounds kind've selfish tbh...

what im trying to get at is wrestling doesn't need to be rated.. it doesn't matter if its rated pg or rated r... its not a porn busines... those that watch it know what there getting into...just like those that watch porn know what there getting into... wrestling doesn't need to have a rating that restricts children.. children shouldn't even be watching it anyway because there is still a level of violence and why its rated PG im not sure...there trying to make it where children can watch without parental supervision... this is not lilo and stitch... there is still violence.. its not like kids are going to be setting down to watch wrestling shows when they could be watching dora the exployer or spongebob.. wwe is trying to get that fanbase and i dont know why...

thats like saying hey the west minister dog show is rated pg....

    ...

that must've been too over the head for you.

If the event is primarily catered towards my kid, then yes, I would go. The Circus is catered towards the enjoyment of kids (Clowns, Elephants, etc). Shit, while my daughter is laughing and screaming at the sight of the acrobatics, I could kick back and play with my phone and not give a fuck but that's just me. Is that saying that I wouldn't find something there to enjoy? No, but if I didn't, I'd know that the day/event wasn't about me anyway but her. Plus, the cost would prolly be half that of the average wrestling ticket. WRESTLING on the other hand is NOT primarily catered towards kids, that means, the adults that are there with their kids, are there because they ALSO want to be.

All shows are rated on some level. That's why wrestling has a rating. YOU HAVE TO KNOW WHAT AUDIENCE YOUR PRODUCT IS CATERED TO BASED ON ITS CONTENT. That's just common sense. Half the shit that was done during the Attitude Era I wouldn't want to subject my daughter to, but with the way it is now, I have no issue. I shared wrestling with my Grandfather AND my father, and this was during the original "PG" days..why wouldn't I want to continue that with my kids? The product is making it easy for me to do that.

I know all shows are rated.... even basketball has a rating... but if basketball has a PG rating that doesn't mean you need midgets and clowns running around like a birthday party or something... that's exactly what wwe is doing right now.. they think because its PG they have to put kid related stuff on... its a wrestling show not the disney channel...the rating is just there so parents know if there kids can watch without seeing violence/sex/nudity, don't you think this PG rating cheats those parents, there is still violence and mild sexual situations that aren't suitable for a young child to watch...either Vince is doing this to get Nickelodeon ratings or he is actually preparing for the future when he gets his own channel... maybe with his own channel he can put unrated stuff on

um...where were you when Doink and Dink were around? Man, stfu. Super Cena while not as large in popularity is no different now than Hogan was then...how about Bret giving his sunglasses to kids ala Morrison and Rey with his masks? ..again..stfu.
