i only weigh a little over 190 right now.
i go all the way down.
5 sets of 20 is nothing.
lol 5 sets of 20 for the regular push ups thats not my complete workout I mainly do resistance..slow movement on the negative and blast up.
do you do the bench press style push ups or the tricep style with your arms close to your body?
the hardest are the diamonds.
I do incline, regular and decilne push ups.
5 sets of 20 on the regular, 5 sets of 15 on the incline, and 5 sets of 10 on the decline with my feet on the chair.
My brother has one of those vests, I think he spent something like $250 on it. It's good for push ups, body squats, and boxing.
^^ Probably would work for deadlifts and pull ups too.

Schade, how has it effected his workouts? Does he love it? Have you seen a lot of improvement from him while he's had the vest? Just wondering if this would be a good investment. $250 is a lot of money when I can just run with the backpack and get the same results.

Lol ya those fools only go up 2 inches and go back down basically not even working there chest or triceps...only using momentum lol.
thats why you seem them fatso's who can do more its funny and they go super fast too.
i bench with my elbows out, chest out... to actually work chest/tris.
close grib, wide grip, regular.. what ever floats my fancy.
pushups are fun if i'm bored at home or just finishing up a real chest workout.
filling a backpack is fucking stupid... that shit's GOTTA be bad for your back.
get one of those 40-50lb vests you can wear... now your talking.
Well shortly after he got it he got a sprained rib at work, thought it was a tumor lol. So he hasn't used it much, doc told him not to do anything for a while. I've used it for push ups and shadow boxing. It's not bad. Expensive as hell though.
I like using those push up handle things they sell at the sporting goods store they work my chest good and make you work harder and you can switch them up for different positions.
I hate doing push ups cause I feel like im gonna pass out.
but I dont hate them as much as ABs and sit ups I freaking hate doing sit ups.
The only Ab excersize I do really is knee raises on the pull up tower.
yeah I have a pair of those push up bar things too actually.

either way with bare hands or on bars.. works for me.
usually i like the bars if I do pushups with my feet up.. just cause the bars take the pressure off my wrist area.
I like using the push up bars because they get a good stetch working your chest muscles good you can go lower then with basic push ups.
I usually use these bars right after I finished my bench press and I do as many as possible and the next day my chest is sore as fuck...I was able to build my pecs with these things...it help define them too cause I could really hit the spots and work them to failure after doing the bench. Plus my rotator cuff is kinda messed up so this is great.
I was one of those guys who had lacked muscle in the middle of my chest ya know were you can see the rib cage kinda chest lol..now I have a full chest and I look better in a shirts now...before people used to think I was slouching lol...I remember telling my mom "Mom I am standing straight" she used to tell me I was hunching over lol its cause I was skinny and had no pecs my back was straight it was the illusion
LOL word same here actually..after push ups i also feel pain in my back and all the blood goes to the head..sometimes mor sonetimes less..but abs xercises are definatly the worst.
ya I found out why I get that headache feeling like imma pass out when I do the push ups cause I was breathing wrong...I dont get that much anymore but I still hate doing them lol.
the abs are the worst indeed its also bad for the back and boring...I suggest knee raises a great alternative to sit ups and after you do the knee raises finish of with crunches to failure.
Planche push ups > all the other weak variations.
hindu pushups are where its at.
i don't fuck with them regularly, but I know how to do them.
but i highly recommend them to anyone to go learn how to do them and try it
Hindu push up and hindu squats is what alot of the fighters do here at the gym it makes your functional strength off the hook.
